Excellent service. Beautiful food! Went with 5 friends and had the feast menu - ideal for sharing and waitresses seem just to seem to bring out more and more food!

Have been to Tagine a few times now and highly recommend it. I think it's a testament to it's success in that you'll likely have to book on a Friday or Saturday night. I've been to Morocco and would certainly rate Tagines food as being the real deal. On this occasion had the chicken tagine with zafra (sp?) couscous and girlfriend had the chicken kebabs ( and couscous). A plus and money saving extra is that you can bring your own wine and there is no corkage charge. Interior is also atmospheric/authentic, although chairs are very low and not that comfortable to sit on, if like me, you are tall.

Went on Saturday evening when it was busy and a booking would be essential. Totally charming staff, especially the two waitresses who dealt with us. No licquor licence but as there is a Sainsburys opposite, it is easy to bring your own and no corkage seemed to be charged. Food was excellent, all the courses were hot, tasty, and recommended. Between us we tried about half the menu and none disappointed so won't give specifics. Sensible prices, two courses and a shared desert was about £27 per head. Only one negative, as a middle aged male with a bad back, was the height of the tables and chairs. They are 2/3 the height of a "normal" chair, so posture while sitting is not good if you are not that flexible any more. I know this is deliberate to create a Moroccan feeling to the place, but... There are a couple of higher tables but these were taken. Might be worth asking for one of them when you book if this is an issue for you. Otherwise highly recommended. Optional 12.5% service charge added to bill but nice staff did job well, so seemed reasonable to me.

I love Tagine. It is such a fantastic, authentic restaurant. Once you have passed the huge wooden door it feels like you are in Arabian Nights, lots of low lighting and traditional drapes. It is very romantic and very special. The chairs are very low which may be uncomfortable if you are very tall, but it is all traditional Moroccan furniture. If you feel that you might find these a problem it may be better to book one of the cushioned lounge seating areas. There's a lovely little area on the ground floor with an open fire.

There is a bar which sells out of this world non-alcoholic cocktails. Very refreshing. Please bare in mind that Tagine does not sell alcohol but is "Bring your own bottle". Which in my opinion is very good value for money as there is a Sainsbury and an Off Licence just over the road. Shisha pipes are also available.

The food is wonderful and the main courses average around £10 a head. A tagine (its namesake) is to be experienced. The staff are friendly and the restaurant does have a family run, relaxed vibe to it. The staff let us try freebies off the menu, gave us cocktails on the house and adapted for fussy little eaters.

I love Tagine and we come here to celebrate anything special as we know what we are getting. I have travelled to Marrakech twice and can honestly say that this place feels, looks and tastes authentic!
