Husband and I had the fixed price menu after an afternoon of Star Trek showing at the IMAX (brilliant movie and theatre by the way...)

The food was delightful and the service was excellent. Having often taken the pre-theatre option at a number of restaurants, I have sometimes been disappointed with the quality and service.

Not here - RSJ was absolutely fantastic in every way. Food was beautifully presented, delicious and we had good portion sizes. After 3 courses and a wonderful bottle of wine, we left vowing to visit again and hopefully soon!

We loved the fact that it's a haven of great food and service, down a side street and away from the never-ending sea of typical chain restaurants often found in popular and busy locations. If you're going to the NT or IMAX, definitely go here pre/post.

We dined here exactly a year ago. It is still as good. A hidden gem in London with an excellent value set menu. If you are going to the theatre or anywhere for a night out on the south side of the river, rsj is a must for dinner.

This restaurant is tucked on the upper floor of a corner building, just a couple of streets back from the riverfront near the South Bank complex. As such, it makes a great venue for pre-theatre dining - and we would guess that that was what most people were doing on the Saturday night when we went. There is both a set dinner menu (which looked excellent value for London, though perhaps slightly smaller portion sizes), and the a la carte, which we ate from which had great food, cooked well, in good portions for good value. The influence is classic French but using great seasonal ingredients, and the menu is varied enough for interest, but not so expansive that you doubt the personal attention to detail. Meat was cooked precisely to our preference, vegetables were delicious, as was the bread and desserts. There is a good wine list, and also some excellent wines available by the glass for a reasonable price. The owners clearly have links to good dealers, particularly in the Loire region, and we thoroughly enjoyed what we were given. Service is friendly and relaxed - you should allow about 2 hours when booking a table before a play at the National

We ate upstairs with the sunshine complimenting the cheerful decor and beautifully presented delicious food - we had the fish of the day. The menu and Loire wine list are long enough for a reasonable choice without being excessive. Service was excellent and helpful. Well recommended for a relaxing lunch.

Loved this place, It has gone straight into my top 10 London restaurants and places I will take visitors for something special.

The food is very good modern British/European/French. Not cheap by any means but the quality is well worth the price. And there are reasonable vegetarian options. The service is generally very good, The proprietor was charm himself and was happy to take time to chat about the restaurant and his wines. There was another totally charming waiter , although a rather brusque waitress was the only less than positive note for us.

But the selling point is the wine list. A couple of hundred wines and all from the Loire! Extraordinary; and my favourite region of France for wine. To find not just one Bourgeuil on a wine list but a half dozen is such a treat. And the same for Chinon, Saumur, Sancerre etc.

I just love this place and can't believe it has been there for so many years and I hadn't found it before,
