Description: The original modern Indian restaurant, Dean Street's The Red Fort, has been flying the flag for flock-free, uber-contemporary Asian restaurants since 1983. Having undergone a complete refurbishment in 2010, The Red Fort remains at the forefront of cutting edge restaurant design with its sleek lines and block colour, designer lighting and modern artworks. A sparkling atmosphere means that The Red Fort appeals to a sophisticated crowd far beyond your post-pub curry seekers, with romantic dinner a deuxs taking place alongside business meetings. Much like the design, The Red Fort's menu takes Indian dining to a higher, more refined level with excellent ingredients used in creating wonderfully decadent dishes, delicately spiced and carefully flavoured. ..

I love the food here but boy it's expensive!!! The set lunch is good value and the only times I am prepared to visit the restaurant.. If you are filthy rich and happy to spend 70-80 pounds per head then be sure to try their dum pukth biryani which is amaZing!!

Well, what can I say, extremely disappointing. The service was good, the atmosphere convivial but the food was seriously lacking, not only in quality and flavour but it was also served cold. To add to that, 2 of our party experienced "delicate" stomachs the next day. We ordered the soft shell crab, monkfish and kebabs for starters and all were cold and lacking in flavour. The mains were commodity curries at best with no distinguishing textures or flavour. For £80 a head one would expect something of much higher quality and effort. I have eaten at many Indian, Bangali, Sri Lankan and Pakistani restaurants across London and this one is not memorable and neither will I be visiting again. The best restaurants (at all price points) set themselves apart by their authenticity or their signature dishes and approach - none of that applies here.

Planned a dinner with friends... enjoyed the starters and the mains were very nice too. Good selection of dishes and wine list was good, the food deserves a 8+ out of 10 . However the service did not meet my expectations. The waiters kept asking to take our food from the table and we had not even finished so felt we were rushed and disappointed by this.
