I popped in for a quick lunch on my walk between meetings. The ham sandwich with a glass of sauvginon blanc was spot on. Great service, too and wonderful atmosphere in the trendy bar!

The family went to One Aldwych for brunch on Fathers Day this year,. There is not one bad thing to say other than I wish we could have stayed longer and gone downstairs for the special Willy Wonka tea. The service was attentive without being overpowering and the food was excellent with very large portions. (Probably too big for brunch). One of the comments from all of us was how comfortable and relaxing the seats and the whole atmosphere was. We will definitely recommend and go back ourselves.

Went on Saturday night with no reservation, but thankfully, they were able to take our party of six, with a 35 min wait. We waited at the bar upstairs which was a beautiful atmosphere. We ordered our drinks, and were presented with a lovely array of bar snacks, popcorn, pretzels and olives, which I may say was replenished very frequently. We had incredibly attentive bar servers. After our wait we went into the restaurant for dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy intimate, very posh. The food was delicious, we had cold gazpacho, which was sent from the chef, and was very tasty. For our entrees we ordered, filet mignon, chicken, and lamb. All entrees were cooked perfectly, and in the most delicious of sauces!! We also ordered two sides of spinach and broccoli which were all quite nice! Would recommend for a quality evening out!

Our Party of 7 had a meal and a viewing of “Les Miserables” this weekend at Axis as part of the Hotel’s Film & Fizz Offers.

The Lobby bar where we met was buzzing but the waiting staff couldn't do enough for us, finding chairs serving us promptly and arranging for our bill to be transferred to the restaurant. Cocktails served in the Lobby Bar are very very good, not cheap but that is to be expected from most good five star Hotel Bars in London.

The meal in AXIS, was we all agreed, really good value and the food of a very high standard, tasty, quickly served (given we only had 1.45 hrs to eat before the film) - although we did have difficulty ordering wine, I think the staff thought the free glass of champagne would be enough for us - definitely not the case.

The film followed in their private screening room, with free popcorn - but we were all quite full and after the film we returned to the Lobby bar for one more bottle of champagne before heading off home.

A really lovely evening in a great hotel with excellent food, cocktails and friends.

I would Highly Highly recommend.
