Description: The highly recommended and award-winning Mango Tree serves mouth-watering traditional Thai cuisine to an eclectic clientele in Belgravia, conveniently near Buckingham Palace in South West London. Popular with the business crowd, particularly when it comes to post-work dinners, Mango Tree is a contemporary and chic venue that is typical of its East Asian roots in every aspect, from the Feng Shui decor and world-renowned Thai hospitality to the classic and creative culinary delights to be discovered in the menus. Every region of Thailand is represented here. You can enjoy the mild dishes of the North, the spicy delicacies of the East, the Chinese-style cooking of Central Thailand, and the tantalisingly hot dishes from the South. First-time diners are recommended to sample signature dishes, including Som Tum, a classic papaya salad, Pad Ka Pow Pak, stir-fried mixed vegetables with chilli, and Ponlamai Ruam Mit, the seasonal exotic fruit platter served with mango sauce. Mango Tree also hosts a range of special events such as vegetarian and lobster festivals, not to mention the exceptionally unique Thai High Tea. Enjoy a warm and welcoming dining experience in an envious location at Mango Tree.

Arrived at 7pm to find the restaurant already busy-but lots of staff, most of whom are very friendly and helpful, so service good. Menu is possibly almost too long, but good choice and quality high.

Went shopping at Harrods and ate at the Mango Tree (Thai) bistro; we had their specialty: dim sum (prawns and chicken, steamed) by an international Dim Sum Chef. Added mango juice. Delicious! Zagat well rated. Well decorated and great service! Know that most restaurants give you a choice to either pay in their currency or US dollars. It is to your benefit to pay in dollars as the conversion rate and fees are lower.

From where we were at Kings Cross Station (tube), we took the Victoria line to Knightsbridge station. Harrods is a minute away walking.

This is a good restaurant - the service is attentive, the atmosphere is fine although it lacks soul, the food is good but is not the kind of food tha tyo uwould find in the best Thai restaurants in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, or even Hong Kong and Singapore.

First things first, I cannot fault the food at all, it was and always is very tasty at Mango Tree, if a little expensive (unless using a discount). What always strikes me though is the lack of atmosphere in the restaurant, it does feel a little like a canteen which is a shame. That said, if you stick to just dining there for lunch rather than a romantic dinner then you shouldn't be disappointed. The staff will largely depend on what day / time you turn up, if you are lucky they will be amazing and to be fair they are never less than good.

All in all a lovely place to eat before the 'main event' of your day / evening.

Been here a number of times and food is excellent and the restaurant has a nice open feel to it. Last time I was there it wasn't quite up to the high standard of previous visits but hopefully that was an off night and not sign of decline. Watch out drinks can lead to an extremely hefty bill as they tend to be fairly expensive.
