Initially walking in it looked cramped and the decor is dated HOWEVER... As soon as we sat down it felt cosy and comfortable! The service was quick and friendly, bantering with us and being very helpful. The food tasted brilliant, and as a vegetarian I had plenty of options (my non veggie partner also wanted seconds- but was too full to eat any more!). We nearly didn't go in purely because of the decor- but that may have been the biggest mistake we made during our trip to London!

Plastic tablecloths and a rough and ready exterior really could put you off, but the food is something else, nice service and portions, no pretence, very tasty and fairly priced. The best sweet and sour sauce (instead of just sweet!) and a fantastic lamb with lentils. Probably a London institution and rightly so!

This little no frills Burmese restaurant is on the Edgeware Road, plastic tablecloths, no fuss, but the food is truly great, incredibly tasty. Lovely owner who decided to show us a card trick (!), service quick, must book though. Coming from SA where the exchange rate is R14 to a pound, the pricing was good for us too!

This small local restaurant in Edgeware Road continues to deliver. Despite interior decoration styled on the bridge street cafe in East Enders, the quality of the food surpasses many restaurants charging three times the price. I have eaten here many times over the years, and have never been disappointed. It is critical that you make a reservation: the fact that people are turned away every night speaks volumes.

Perfect place for a nice date/dinner with friends. Small place so not suitable for huge parties but it works. The whole decor is dated but it gives it a nice homey feel.
The food is amazing. Dont know what authentic burmese is like - i loved it.
