Good for: Business meetings, Special occasions, Romantic
Dining options: Dinner, Late Night, Breakfast, Lunch, Delivery, Reservations
Neighborhood: Mayfair
Description: The first UK restaurant to be awarded one, two, and then three Michelin stars, Le Gavroche remains a class apart. Since opening in 1967, this Mayfair bastion of French cuisine has been very much a family affair, and chef-patron Michel Roux Jr continues the tradition today. The elegance of the menu and the ambience is impeccably tailored, while the discreet service has won its own plaudits.

We had dinner in this fantastic restaurant and cannot fault it in any way.
The staff are wonderful, they are friendly and very helpful.
We chose from the a la carte menu, as I only eat fish, and every course was delicious. Michel came and spoke to everyone and, as a fan of his, this made the evening even more special. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they brought out a plate with a chocolate dessert, decorated with 'Happy Aniversary'. Michel signed a menu for me.
We were not hurried and stayed for over 3 hours.
The whole evening was a fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone at Le Gavroche!

Lesley

We planned a trip to London and in particular we wanted to try Le Gavroche. Lunch at one o'clock and finish the afternoon visiting the Victoria and Albert, or one of the other museums, and return home to Sutton Coldfield in the evening. It didn't go to plan we thought we would be in Le Gavroche for around one and a half hours but after three and a half hours of the most sumptious food, friendly faultless service and quite simply the best lunch ever, we left the restaurant absolutely delighted at meeting Michel Roux Jn who came to table for a chat and made our afternoon. We had the business lunch and a few drinks extra for about £60.00 a head. Thank You, Le Gavroche, we will be back.

Another family favorite. Seafood was freshest as ever. Everything from starter to mains were absolutely brilliant.

Have gone back for an encore performance!

Booked three months in advance so ensure I could take my wife on her 60th birthday. Everything about the experience was excellent. The food was superb the service attentive but not overbearing and Michel Roux came out to wish my wife a happy birthday (he did go to every other table as well). Outstanding valur for money!
Two three course luches preceded by two g&t's, hors d'oeuvres and amuse bouche, bottle of wine and still or sparkling water plus service charge =£132

This was the best dining experience and meal I have ever had in my life and worth every penny. We arrived slightly early for our reservation, were offered a glass of champagne each while waiting. We were hear for a special occasion and I have to say it lived up to the hype. We have never dined in a michelin star restaurant before and had slight concerns about feeling out of place - the staff could not have done anything more to enaphance this experience. We decided on the menu exceltionnel and i highly recommend it. The wines were also out of this world. The service was as fantastic a the food!!!
All in all - if you are into your food and fine dining you need to visit Le Gavroche.
