We celebrated my fiancé’s birthday here on Saturday night. It was reasonably busy but our side of the restaurant was quite quiet and we prefer a buzzier atmosphere. Tasting menu did not disappoint. We’re amateur cooks / wannabe foodies, and each dish shouted skill, inventiveness and quality ingredients. Flavours and textures were delightful. For example, the cauliflower mousse was so light it almost wasn’t there and then the delicious surprise of a curry at the bottom of the petit dish. It really puts a smile on your face. The pork belly was awesome too, it’s the fig reduction that complements the pork so well, although they save their customers from hacking through sticky crackly unfortunately (perhaps that's more for pub grub). Service was outstanding - the staff really made me feel appreciated. And the happy birthday script in chocolate on my fiancé’s dessert plate was a lovely addition to seal what was a most memorable and rather calorific evening! We can’t resist but return.

We returned to this restaurant after have dined there 10 years earlier. It has been renovated and acquired a new chef. We were absolutely delighted with our choice to return. The staff was welcoming and well versed in explaining and recommending food choices. Presentation of food and taste were exemplary. The meal was relaxing and accompanied by several additional treats with each course. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but the ambience, meal and service makes it all very worthwhile !

Wow. This place is fantastic. Superb surroundings, decor and ambiance. The staff were all fabulous. My friend and I had the tasting menu with wine pairings. We were not disappointed. Happily one of the best meals that I have experienced in London. Nice and relaxed. All courses served at an impeccable pace and cooked to perfection with intelligent wine pairings bolstered by the knowledgeable wine sommelier . A truly wonderful dining experience. We shall return!!

Choice this restaurant at short notice to celebrate our anniversary... picked largely as other top restaurants couldn't seat us at such sort notice and so pleased we did. Having eaten at Whatley Manor, where the chef previously was in residence the food certainly lived up to expectations and more. We opted for the tasting menu which was superb and the service was excellent. Not the greatest restaurant interior, good but not equal to the food quality. All in all a great find, great food, wonderful wine and will happily return bringing friends.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. I was looking for a restaurant within walking distance from Royal Albert Hall and I’m so happy for this recommendation. The staff was friendly and professional, very accommodating; I appreciate the prix fixe menu and found it a good value – before 7pm, three courses for 30GBP. The food was outstanding – from the cauliflower mousse and canapés, compliments of the chef to the delicious deserts, everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. An outstanding experience, already looking forward to my next visit!
