“A hiddden gem!”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

We recently visited The Globe Theatre and visited this restaurant after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor we booked a table for potentially busy Friday evening. The ambience was good although it was early. Clean and rustic inside, the staff were very charming and welcoming. The food we had were really good beefburgers which were fantastic. We enjoyed different desserts and everything was good apart from the cost (£7.50) of a scoop of icecream and licquer (which I would have not had by choice) - we felt the desserts were expensive but overall enjoyed the experience. The cost averaged £30 per head including drinks for two courses.

“So incredibly glad we stopped!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

I've never been to the UK before so I wanted British food. So glad we stopped. Food was immaculately displayed and tasted amazing. Waitress was very accommodating because we didn't have reservations and we had to wait a little while. We had drinks out on the patio while we waited. 5 star all around. I highly recommend!

“Over-priced and under-sized”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Whilst what was served was very nice, there was not, by far, enough of it. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, but the food was just not up to the prices being charged. We could have paid half of what we did to enjoy a similar standard meal, but potentially with more satisfying portion sizes, in another restaurant. Whilst the salted caramel log dessert was delicious I was pretty disappointed really.

“Very Nice!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

Have just recently visited this restaurant during a weekend break to London and I was very impressed. The food was excellent, I chose the confit belly of pork to start followed by the venison Wellington both were great, but just wished the main course was a bit bigger that maybe me being greedy though. To finish I had the salted caramel which was lovely also. There were 5 of us in our group and all had different dishes and everyone was very satisfied with their meals. The service was good and in particular the Scottish waitress (can't remember her name) she was very helpful!

Very good restaurant!
