Description: La Trompette opened in 2001 and serves some of the best food in London but without the formality or prices associated with the capital’s top end establishments. We closed at the beginning of 2013 for a complete refurbishment, and have expanded to include a brand new kitchen, private dining and improved customer facilities. The new appearance has not changed the focus of the restaurant. The aim is as it always has been, to give all our guests the best possible dining experience from start to finish.

On arrival we were told you must wait 3 minutes. Why? Because your table is booked in 3 minutes. Really? at 9am we were allowed to sit down given menus and wine list. We asked waiter to order a bottle oh now you must wait for sommelier. 25 minutes later no sommelier its a desert waitress comes to take our order but all we want is a drink. Finally we order food is perfect couldnt fault. Dessert menus come we are ready to order nobody comes we call twice 3 times still nothing we have to ask manageress she is furious with young waiter who is so apologetic dessert finally arrives and is perfect. They really need to work on their service

We had the lunchtime menu, at an extremely reasonable £27 per head, and were not disappointed. The service was spot on, the restaurant was smart but had a relaxed atmosphere and the food was hard to fault.

All dishes were well cooked and presented beautifully and the death by chocolate desert was enough to put any chocolate lover into a coma!

Would highly recommend, especially for lunch.

Having lived in West London for years La Trompette was well known to us and had a great reputation, however we had never got round to going. So we were delighted it didn't let us down in any way when we did have dinner there on Valentines. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the food superb and although some had said it can be a bit cramped, with tables very close, we didn't feel this was the case. It's not often you splash out on an 'expensive' meal and come away saying that was worth every penny but La Trompette was better than we had hoped so would definitely recommend to others.

What a lunch! I visited with a client who is a regular patron of this excellent restaurant for a lunch. Having been a regular visitor to La Trompette prior to moving away from London 7 years ago, I was looking forward to what I expected to be a very happy trip down memory lane, and I was not disappointed. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding and the decor, which had been changed since I last visited and was fantastic. I cannot rate my meal highly enough. The banana soufflé with gingerbread ice cream needs to be tried to believed. On top of which the bill was far less the I expected considering the standard of the food. Congratulations to all!!

It was a thank you dinner to my mother. The food was amazing, prompt, drinks were suggested without imposing and staff were polite and did not even raise an eye brow as my 9 month old baby was throwing bread everywhere.
