We visited this restaurant whilst in London for the weekend as we wanted to try something a little different, and what a good choice it turned out to be.
The restaurant itself is small (although it does have a charming little garden which would have been lovely had it not been for the rain!) and the surroundings are not particularly plush, but do not be put off, it has a certain rustic charm and the quality of the food far surpasses the basic surroundings.
All of the food we enjoyed was flavoursome, and the kind that you want to just keep on eating long after your stomach tells you it is full! The highlight was the fresh bread being made at the front of the restaurant, which is brought straight from the fire to your table - delicious! The restauarant is also BYO, so no paying over-inflated prices for wine.
We will definitely be returning, and would recommend this to anyone who likes to venture away from central areas to try something new.
