Description: In the heart of Covent Garden, J Sheekey is a fish and seafood restaurant offering the finest fish, oysters, shellfish and other fruits de mer. Discreetly tucked away on St Martin's Court between Charing Cross Road and St Martin's Lane, J Sheekey is a stone's throw from many of the West End's theatres, the cinemas of Leicester Square and vibrant quarters of Covent Garden and Soho. The Royal Opera House and Coliseum, Palace Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Wyndham's, Duke of York and Noel Coward Theatres are close by, making the restaurant perfect for pre and post theatre dining. All fish is responsibly caught from sustainable sources.

We probably go to this restaurant three or four times a year and it is always an enjoyable experience. We often go pre theatre but last night was just for the meal. The four of us all had something different but all were good. Standout for me is the Cornish fish stew, but the fish burger and fish pie were also highly rated. It is always extremely busy and buzzy but the service is efficient and helpful. For such a popular, famous restaurant in the middle of theatre land the prices are reasonable and altogether it is difficult to fault.

Simply cannot fault. Very good choice of oysters, lovely ambiance, good service with charming staff. Situated just off Charing Crossroad in the heart of theatre land it is open for meals after the show. It has good quality wine at not outrageous prices, served by glass, carafe or bottle. You can sit and the bar itself or one of the tables Definitely will be back

This was my third visit to J Sheekey and I was not disappointed. The venue was fabulous and the staff were great. The food was amazing: potted shrimp, Ray wing and semi freddo and all 3 were fabulous. My husband had pickled herring, fish pie and cheesecake and raved about all 3 courses. The service was perfect - attentive but understated. It's a fabulous mix of luxurious but buzzy atmosphere. We also had a bottle of decent wine and the bill was £150 for two of us with service, but it was worth every penny. Can't wait or go again :-)

Had dinner, service was great although a little serf like which doesn't appeal to me. The fruits de mer was fantastic, they will cater for a single portion with lobster which was more than enough for two of us. We couldn't manage a main course so finished with oysters. Wow! Expensive but not for central London. Loved it and will be back.

This really is a top class restaurant with excellent service and food! Staff are friendly and very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious! There is a lovely atmosphere and the restaurant is very busy with pre and post theatre diners. It was expensive, but well worth it for a special night out! Highly recommended!
