Behind the slightly tired-looking part mirrored exterior, there lies a culinary delight for anyone who loves fish. The menu claims they 'also serve meat' but I wouldn't have the nerve to ask. This is, quite simply, all about fish.
The service is welcoming and attentive, professional without being snobbish or overbearing. The dining room is well planned, and has a cosy feel about it, with the walls covered with photos of celebrities past and present.
But to the food. I tried the Chargrilled Squid for the starter, and a John Dory main. Both were cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully. There is an extensive wine list. Their deserts are also worth saving room for: the Cru Virunga Chocolate & Honeycomb Bombe is particularly good (and you even get to eat a bit of gold leaf!)
Overall the restaurant is very good. I have held off rating it excellent purely since I think it is a little expensive, but then it is in central London, so perhaps I'm being a little mean. Try it for yourself, if you love fish you'll love Sheekey's.
