The three bedroom apartment in which we stayed was not one block from the British Museum, but it was one block from the Natural History Museum, which is next to the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. We were less than a mile from Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. The neighborhood was delightfully full of a variety of excellent restaurants, grocery stores and an adorable local pub. Public transportation was easily accessible, both buses and the Underground. All the staff members at 130 Queen's Gate Apartments were professional, friendly, and helpful. The apartment itself served all our needs, and we came to think of it as home. There was enough space for us to have quiet time in addition to hanging out together in the living/dining room. We loved the convenience of having a washer/dryer right in the apartment along with all that we needed for preparing home meals. Two members of the family utilized the exercise room on a daily basis. We had an elderly family member who used a wheelchair to get around London. The ground floor apartment with an accessible bathroom was perfect for her.
