One of the best meals we've ever eaten and we're glad we went. It's not nearly the best in terms of value for money but somehow I don't think that's a consideration for many of the clientele.....
We had the prestige tasting menu with wine pairings. The more modern, experimental dishes were simply unlike anything we've ever tasted before, such as a moroccan-inspired fish with an infusion containing (allegedly) 40 different spices. The lamb we had was sensational - so many different presentations of different cuts and all done to perfection. The wine pairings were exceptionally good, with some very interesting and unusual choices. Service could not have been better.
Slightly disappointed with the fairly ordinary chocolate cylinder dessert and the lobster ravioli which we felt didn't really suit this kind of level.
Overall this is a restaurant that is more notable for the brilliance of its chef rather than the shouting of its owner!
