I recently had lunch here with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From start to finish, we had an amazing experience. We opted for the set lunch menu which was matched with some wonderful wines recommended by the sommelier. Each dish was cooked perfectly with beautifully balanced flavours. Service is excellent and staff are friendly and knowledgable. At the end of the meal, I happened to mention that I'd be interested in seeing the kitchen and the waiter kindly arranged for us to have an impromtu tour. Staff really do go out of their way to make your visit a memorable and special experience. Expensive but worth every penny.

We have just had one of the very great experiences in dining in London. From a wonderful welcome back by all the front of house staff to the most superb food. I can express my gratitude to the Resturant Manager and his team for treating us with such care. Every thing was explained in very great detail and with such nice smiles. This is a 3 hour experience of great culinary art. The highlight for our food guests was to be introduces to the chief and her team. This restaurant on of London's greats and certainly a must during your visit.

Very good food, worth the specail journey as for Michelin. Excellent ingredients and spot on cooking. The service is amazing, friendlier than in most other restaurants still very professional. Maitre d, is the best and Claire Smyth is cooking every day in the kitchen. Book in advance, the restaurant was full at the time of my lunch. Wines by glass by 6 pounds, half bottles from 32 pounds.

we arrived at the restaurant and we was welcomed by the door man who was very polite and we was then walked into the suprisingly small reception area and we were met by the matradee who took our coats and then kindly escorted us to our table it was the first time to the restaurant and we were quite suprised that it was slightly cramped and noticed the heat of the dining room was quite warm but we do like to be quite cool when dining.....we were quicky asked if we required a drink of champagne which was a nice touch but then for the next 5 minute we were fussed on by every type of waiter etc just a bit intense but yet also very polite and really was a bit too much to take in so it depends on how you like to be treated preferebly we like to at least have a 10 minutes to read the wine list and menus and get a feel of the place. anyway onto the food we had a few nibbles and then picked our menu i went for the tasting menu and my partner the slightly more expensive tasting menu just basically pallete choice than cost....we both had 7 small courses ranging from lobster tail ,foie gras, lamb rack, halibut the siginiture lemon dessert etc but the combinations of food throughout the complete meal just didnt get the tasted buds going and it seemed quite old fashioned we eat in many places with various prices ranges some good some not but we have had far better and more flowing combinations of food than we got on these menus even the homemade bread was borderlining on tooth breaking rather than crusty and the lamb served three ways had no crispyness etc ... the positives were that the wines we has was very well selected and just chilled and served to our liking and as i said before once the waiters had calmed down a bit they worked well and smoothly maybe it was just was a one off night with a tired chef or maybe just a tired menu ....
