“Hearty and unpretentious fish and chip restaurant in a local neighbourhood”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

I went to the Goldern Hind the very first time with my new colleagues. It has a small family run business feel with very efficient staff. You don't expect super courtesy from the staff but they are nice enough.Portion was generous, so you gotta be hungry before you go. It was really popular with locals, at least people work around there. It's good for family, friends and informal business mettings but don't expect really romantic ambience to impress your first date unless they are genuine, unpretentious people too!

“Enjoyed a lot and very reasonable”
Reviewed November 15, 2013

We enjoyed the fish and chips as well as calamari. Highly recommended to make a reservation if you are going with a group. Some people were eating alone. I also enjoyed the ginger beer which went very well with the fried food. The mixed salad was not integrated, and greek salad ordered at the next table looked much attractive. Anyway, the overall experience was good enough that enriched our dining experience in London.

“Superb fish and chips :-)”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

This is one of my shortest review, just to say that this is a simple place, no fuss, no thrills, but you'll get great fish and chips :-)
The fish is of good quality, the batter is good, the chips are nice thick chips, and service is efficient :-)
Nothing else to add :-)

“Great Fish & Chip Supper”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

A very busy little restaurant. There is a choice of fish & the food is freshly cooked to order and includes the option to have fish steamed rather than battered/fried for people who need a gluten-free diet. The staff work hard ensuring customers are happy. Thank you.

“Probably the best fish and chips in London”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

It does exactly what it says on the tin. I would go for the small cod - the bigger portion is only for very hungry people. It is tasty and with chips, peas and a drink under £10.
