Description: A traditional pub with a story to tell, The Admiralty is a step back in time to the decks of HMS Victory and the Battle of Trafalgar. Looking out to Nelson’s Column, it’s officially London’s most central pub, where the best of British pub food awaits alongside Fuller’s cask ales.

Many years ago Trafalgar Square was the Centre of British Dominance of the World. Here is the Statue of Admiral Nelson who defeated with his seaman the French, but died in Action. Later Lions were added to represent the 4 corners of the Empire. The Secret bunker of Sir Winston Churchill and his Cabinet, Admiralty Arch, Moments from the Houses of Parliament, National Gallery Downing Street Horse Guard Parade and many more and this Fullers ( London Brewery) Pub and Excellent eating house. Excellent food for all ages, children are allowed in. Lovely Beers and great Food

In London for a show we had a couple of hours to kill so headed in here for a little drinky!
Hubby was trying the real ales, of which he comments there was a very good choice, I was partaking of the gin. I was a bit disappointed that they weren’t served in what is now the normal gin goblet, and they had no ginger ale :(
We spent a pleasant time whiling away the afternoon in here. The pub had a very friendly atmosphere and we would definitely go back next time we are up in London.

Fun if you want a beer and or fish and chips but not the greatest for someone who doesn’t eat meat. Really nothing on the menu except for a odd style salad ( raw squash, pine nuts, spelt and cooked red peppers) kinda weird.

Great location right on Trafalgar Square. Large open bar area and spacious restaurant in there basement. Food was very good but let down by a couple of minor things - thus the average rating. We had one of the excellent pies but the gravy it was served with tasted just like packet mix. Similarly the cheesecake, which was nice was let down by the lack of fruit. Service was good but at 15% I would have expected more. I would probably try somewhere different next time I eat in this part of London.
