Just wandered in off the street and what a treat! Fantastic atmosphere, food, drink & wonderful staff. Fish of the day perfectly cooked. Poached pear with gingerbread to die for. Thank you.

We went there on a Friday night and the place was almost dead. Since we were starving we decided to stay.

It was quiet enough so we could talk at a normal volume (unlike places where you have to shout). Service was good but not too intrusive and the timings were great.

We had a beef dish to share and a dessert to share too and everything was just SO delicious we really enjoyed it alongside the great white wine we had. There is no fault to the food and it was perfect for a hungry couple.

The place started to fill up but it's so spacious that it felt quite empty and there is no buzzing atmosphere like there is in many other places along Bermondsey Street, but the food delivers.

The price was moderate but despite all this I would definitely go back, just not very often because I do pay attention to the atmosphere. Do try the food though, you'll love it.

Food is very good and reasonably priced, service is friendly and efficient. We went there every day for a week and did not run out of options although the menu is sensibly short. Venison burger is breat and the chunky chips are to die for.

The lunchtime a la carte is good in the restaurant and good value and the space is nice. However my colleague's mushroom risotto was unpleasant and cold and the service was tardy. I would avoid which is a pity as it is potentially very nice and some of the food is good.

This is our second visit to the Delfina and our second fantastic meal. Last time we visited on Friday (dinner is not served on other evenings) the restaurant was about half-full; this time it was busy and bustling, but service was still excellent - friendly and unobtrusive. Food is beautifully presented and very tasty, and the wine list has a good range available by the glass and carafe. My only slight bugbear is that all but one of the desserts were marked as containing nuts, leaving my options as ice cream or cheese. Luckily I was too full after a starter of scallops and a generous fish stew main to actually want anything else! I am always grateful, however, to restaurants that do take the time to point out allergens such as nuts on their menu, so top marks for that.
