Packed doesn't begin to describe this pub. Very busy with punters and decor. Good beer. Didn't have time to eat but I'm told the food is good. Friendly staff.

Nice atmospheric pub, Fullers brewery so their Thai Kitchen food (which you, annoyingly, have to order and pay for separately to the main bar).
Food was good quality (they're not joking when they say that the spicier dishes are spicy!), and served very quickly even on a Friday lunchtime.

Went on the recommendation of my son, currently living in London. It is worth a visit from the inside out. Flower baskets adorn the entire roof. Before I knew we had arrived, was "oohing" and "aahhing" just about the outside of the building, not knowing it was the Chruchill Arms.

When one first enters, it is a proper English pub. Crowded, panelled interiors with all manner of collectibles, including pots, hanging from the walls and ceiling. Simply charming. They restaurant in the back is like a magical fairy land, there are plants all over the ceiling, like being in a forest. There are flowers everywhere, even in the bathroom. And the food, yummy Thai, and most of it 8 pound or less with generous portions. Drinks were a great value as well. Highly recommended.

The Churchill pub is well known to locals and is famous for its decor both exterior and interior. The exterior is resplendent in dozens of hanging baskets making it a treat to the eye whilst every inch on interior space be it wall or ceiling is filled with all sorts of paraphanelia making the pub an experience well worth a visit but be aware as its price of fame means it is always crowded.
I have to disagree with the reviews on the Thai restaurant at the back. Yes the portions are plentiful and the prices are very reasonable but taste is awful and hence my 3 stars as the pub comes under the category of restaurants. Go there for the atmosphere and a drink but eat elsewhere.

We enjoyed the ambiance of this grand old pub. I think it is just a neat place. It seems to be crowded all the time so we weren't the only ones that thought that. The Thai restaurant in the back is also pretty good. The service here was also good. It is a great place to pass an evening.
