Description: We pride ourselves on serving modern British food that is locally sourced. Being located along London's riverside we have all kinds of amazing suppliers at our finger tips with the likes of Cannon and Cannon from Borough Market bringing you the best in British charcuterie and grass-fed Spey side Angus X steaks, our restaurant is brimming with quality ingredients. As well as meat we like to think our fish & seafood is pretty good too, with Foreman's smoked salmon, Carlingford Rocks Oysters and sumptuous lobster. Soak up magnificent views across to Tower Bridge and beyond, we like to think this it is the perfect place to come and sample one of our craft ale's or peruse our extensive gin list. The Chop House bar has a relaxed atmosphere adjacent to the main restaurant and is a great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat or to enjoy cocktails in a relaxed setting, overlooking Tower Bridge. Whether you're on a lunch break with colleagues or popping in at the weekend with family there is something for everybody's taste.

“Very enjoyable”

We had a late lunch here on a set menu before heading to the station to take a train home. Pleasant surroundings, very good service and good food. Would certainly return. Look forward to the better weather and perhaps being able to sit outside with the view of the Thames

“A great meal in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

Sitting at a window table watching Tower Bridge and the boats on the Thames while eating excellent food, sipping lovely wine and enjoyed first class service - beat that!

We booked using the Evening Standard £25 deal and you might half expect that to make you a second class guest but that was most definitely not the case. We were greeted enthusiastically, shown to the table with a view that I had requested online and presented with the special menu.

There were approx 5/6 options of starters and mains and we were literally spoiled for choice. I could have selected anything on the menu. Desserts were great too - try the sticky toffee pudding!

The wine list is not cheap - little available under £30 - but the wines are excellent.

We can't wait to go back the next time we're in town.

come here quite frequently as its my local. Its a unique setting with tower bridge right outside. The food is consistant and service is usually reliably good.

“Posh Totty, Burns Night, Evening Standard Offer & 2013”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

First visit to Chop House in 2013 and it failed to dissapoint!

We took advantage of the "Evening Standard - Dine out for £30.00 Offer" for a meal in the main restaurant as opposed to the Bar area.

The menu with a choice of 4/5 starters, 4/5 main courses and 5 deserts plus a refreshing glass of champagne on arrival is just what you need in Jan which can be a tad dull.

Once again the food was superb particularly the ox cheek, ham & pea soup and plaice with capers. Desert was perfect, tangy, sharp and a very British crumble and as always the setting is the best in London.

As for the Posh Totty and Bag Pipes in the back ground it equates to the perfect evening and sense of occasion. Butlers Wharf Chop House is good British fayre with understated style & purpose.

A lovely start to 2013.

“Great Food, well served.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2013

Yesterday evening after a hard week at work, I was welcomed with great warmth by the front of the house staff who showed me to the table where my colleagues were already assembled. The menu offered many tempting choices and as it was Burns Night a piper was adding to the end of the week atmosphere with the skirl of the bagpipes.
My starter - fish cakes was delicious and main course sirloin steak was cooked to perfection. The waiters charming and attentive and the setting by Tower Bridge stunning, even on a frosty winter's evening.
