Description: Bibendum, the flagship of the Conran gastro empire is housed in the historic Michelin building on groovy Brompton Cross. As you might expect, it delivers topnotch French food with impeccable service in a spacious chic setting. In fact, the food is so delicious that one is in danger of leaving the premises feeling like the Michelin man himself. Fabulous wine list to complement the menu and an ideal location to indulge in a little post lunch shopping on the cross or down Walton Street. With a set menu for lunch at £36 you can enjoy a 'grande bouffe' without a grand bill.

“Quality well presented food”

Quality dining in a quiet environment. Given the location, it avoids being too smart and one can feel comfortable dressed casually eating good - seafood and fish were my favourites.

“A classic restaurant”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

We have been going here for a long time and despite different chefs its always very good. The room itself is a monument to architectural excellence. The food light and good portions. Often have a special lunch menu. Downstairs is a cafe which is also very good, serving just cold food.

“Fantastic restaurant...Never disappoints!”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We have been to this restaurant many, many times over the last 10 years.

The staff are great. The location is fantastic, and the food is always well received.

We will definitely be going back soon!

“Also nice for breakfast at the bar on the pavement”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

If you fancy a croissant and double espresso instead of a hefty English breakfast in the morning. Other than that they offer plenty of choice and good quality for breakfast lunch and dinner inside as well.

“Bibendum oyster bar, teeny tiny oysters!”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

Always wanted to eat here, and took a sneaky late lunch whilst in London recently. No queueing, pleasant wait staff and cool surroundings (Michelin building). But oysters, my favourite thing and the purpose of my visit here, were tiny! Ordered selection of Rocks and at least two were too small to eat. Nice aubergine salad, but didn't make up for disappointing oysters. Maybe will try again, but will order differently (maybe ask for advice?).
