Made to feel most welcome for our early evening (6pm) pre-theatre dinner. Wonderful meal and glass of Pino Grigio set us up well.

8 of us arrived after having watched Top Hat the musical, we were immediately accommodated in a no fuss fashion. Our drinks order and food order were taken in a timely manner and with humour. Although the decor is a little tired the general atmosphere is very convivial and has a real feel of the 70's about it as do the photographs of their famous patrons. The food was lovely all 8 of us had something different and every dish was delicious. The house red wine is very nice and the sweet menu although not huge had something for everyone. I have eaten here on previous occasions and I have returned again so it must have been good.

The restaurant is in a good position for Theatres. We had booked in August for November.Arrived at the restaurant and found no reserved table. They did find reservation.Had specified ground floor table as one member of party,84 years old, disabled and unable to go downstairs.Manager?. arrived, shrugged shoulders and made no comment other than we could have a table downstairs shortly which was not suitable.
Did not bother to offer disabled guest a chair.Fortunately someone dining offered a chair.
Waited twenty minutes until some diners left and were seated.
The waters attitude, nothing to do wth me.No apologies. No complaints about food or wine but avoid on a Saturday.Had been previously during the week and had no complaints.
Needs complete overhaul of front of house management.

The food is excellent and very reasonably priced for central London. Service is fast and waiters very courteous. Ten minute walk from Charing Cross Road tube.
