Description: Whether you've just popped in to see the Queen but didn't fancy staying for tea, are catching a show at the theatre next door or just feel like lingering over a pint before facing the hustle and bustle of Victoria, we have the perfect place for you. The Phoenix, just 5 minutes from Victoria Station, is alive in the week with office workers and on the weekend the hubbub comes from the tourists popping into Buckingham Palace. Our menu showcases the fresh seasonal ingredients whilst reminding all how good traditional British food can be. The large bar is a mix and match of tables, armchairs, with space at the bar for those wanting to sample the real ales or a fine fine glass of wine. The Upstairs Bar is ideal for meetings, dinners, drinks and more. Out the back is the garden delightful for a light lunch or after work libation. The Royal Family have a delightful local.

The Phoenix is a great place to have a drink--lots of good beers -- and some good snacks and pub food. It is far better than some of the neighboring ones, and was recommended by the doorman at our hotel. He did us right with the recommendation as it was exactly what we wanted--casual, comfortable, good food and good beers. I'd skip the house wine though. Would definitely return if we wanted a nice, simple but tasty, meal at a good price.

What a nice friendly chilled pub! Food was excellent and the staff were great too! The Pie was delicious, a proper pie with pastry all round and with veg and mash not just chips! We went with friends and had a great time the only negative for me was that they dont have an 'Ale' just the IPA that seems all too trendy now, had to have G n T instead!!! Shame!

Hello Jaxh56.

Thank you for your lovely review.
We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed your meal with us and liked the pie with mash instead of fries.

We do have a few ales on draught, like our Young's London Original and the Porper Job.
Hopefully you will see you again very soon and you get to try those and our guest ales.

Best wishes
Sonja

Fantastic atmosphere friendly helpful staff and excellent food. Great selection available and what I consider reasonably priced for the location you are in. The service was excellent and the food well presented and hot. A great experience all round would cetainly recommend a visit and suggest that you reserve in advance if you want to be certain of a table.

We sat at the rear of the pub on the ground floor. The food was very good and the atmosphere festive and friendly. Will return next time I’m in London.

Staking out a few places to watch the televised football prior to the theatre and came across this pub next door to The Other Palace. No visible sign of any TV Sport but ideally located. Spoke with the 'manager' and he was happy to reserve a table for us at 5.30.

We arrived early and the plan was to leave my friends to take in some of the game at the sports bar down the road. There were people at our table as it was open until 5.30 but the lady in charge asked them if they'd move and they obliged. This lady was also very helpful with the food and drinks orders.

Quite pricey drinks, cheapest wine £27.50 and a pint was £6. Our drinks bill was £58.

Shortly after we sat down the football came on a TV to my right and then my game came on, in the same position to my left. Absolutely perfect.

Ordered some small plates, all of a good quality.

Good atmosphere, just about gets 5 stars, mainly for the excellent service.
