Description: Whether you've just popped in to see the Queen but didn't fancy staying for tea, are catching a show at the theatre next door or just feel like lingering over a pint before facing the hustle and bustle of Victoria, we have the perfect place for you. The Phoenix, just 5 minutes from Victoria Station, is alive in the week with office workers and on the weekend the hubbub comes from the tourists popping into Buckingham Palace. Our menu showcases the fresh seasonal ingredients whilst reminding all how good traditional British food can be. The large bar is a mix and match of tables, armchairs, with space at the bar for those wanting to sample the real ales or a fine fine glass of wine. The Upstairs Bar is ideal for meetings, dinners, drinks and more. Out the back is the garden delightful for a light lunch or after work libation. The Royal Family have a delightful local.

“Gem of a find”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

Recommend for Sunday lunch. A few blocks from Buckingham Palance, yet more of a local establishment. Staff were very pleasant and accomodating, (we were a group of six). Sunday roasts were terrific with large portions. Mix with a few fine ales, doesn't get much better.

“Great, affordable food, but slow service”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We happened upon the pub on St. Pat's Day. We will give the the benefit of the doubt and chalk up the flaky service to St. Patrick's Day. Despite the wonky service, the food was fresh, delicious and very affordable. I don't usually eat meat/chicken, but the Roast chicken for two was delicious! And it was one of the most affordable meals we had in London.

“Wrong phoenix”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Before making a decision on the phoenix, make sure trip advisor have the right pub.
The phoenix doesnt serve hot dogs, isn't in Denmark Hill or Bayswater!
So of the five reviews above, three are the wrong pub!

“Good value pub food”
Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

We went to the Phoenix on a Saturday lunchtime.
We had our two year old grand daughter with us, they only had one high chair, whic was fine as we were the first to ask.
To be fair, during the week, the Phoenix customers are from the local businesses.
The fish and chips were excellent and good value at £12.95

“Good and tasty!”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Nice and good! We had the steak and the spinach and mushroom wellington as a main, that were amazing!!
Dessert were good but if i order a lime and lemon cheesecake i don't want rhubarb sauce on top! :). Please is nice, sure a bit noisy, but it's a pub! Advise to book as the restaurant section is quite small!
