“Very disappointing”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

I was looking for a restaurant in close proximity to the nearby Club I was having a drinks reception for my Birthday and chose Getti as I had heard some very good things about the restaurant. After a wonderful reception at the nearby Club I was sorely disappointed with the quality of the restaurant. The service was decent with very friendly staff but the food, I have to say, was awful. One of our party ordered a pizza which, you would think, would be rather simple. However it was completely black on the underside. Along with a seafood risotto another guest ordered which came with shelled prawns and floating in a bowl full of oil, which I have never witnessed with a risotto dish before! Yet another person in our party was disappointed as they ordered a steak, medium, and it came served as a bloodied lump of meat with no accompaniments apart from a couple of sliced vegetables yet cost over £20!

The experience was very embarrassing for me. It was my birthday celebration and I had had such a wonderful reception prior to the meal and then having to inflict this restaurant of my choice upon my guests was such a let down and made me feel quite guilty.

A restaurant can look the part but it is the food that ultimately counts.

“Horrible ”
Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

Ate here last wed pre theatre had options off the set menu . The main was mushroom crepes . This consisted of pancakes in a sticky mushroom coloured gloop. No actual mushroom in sight . It had been microwaved and was served inedibly hot in a shallow dish. Disgusting . Service was vague the waiter appeared unacquainted with the menu . Not to be repeated

“Not great”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

Had the bresaola for starters, which was off. I left it but the plate was taken without asking me if it was ok.
Ordered water, was given a litre bottle, which I hadn't asked for. Tip was automatically added, which I hate.
Pasta was fine.

Called in, no booking, for a pre-theatre meal on Valentine's night. All the booked people got a free Valentine's drink, we didn't as we hadn't booked. This felt mean and, if they are mean here, I find places are generally mean.
