Description: Auberge Waterloo is ideally located opposite Waterloo StationIf it’s a traditional French gastro you’re looking for, Auberge Waterloo is the one. Directly opposite Waterloo tube station, this rustic venue promises to charm your guests from the moment they enter. Serving top quality, freshly prepared, French inspired food from midday until late seven days a week, Auberge Waterloo is conveniently located within a short walk of the South Bank and it's attractions including the London Eye, and Royal Festival Hall. The ground floor recalls a Belgian beer hall with assorted dark wood seating and twisted iron fixtures, perfect for gathering the troops after work. Meanwhile, upstairs in the candle lit restaurant, diners can expect attentive service and an extensive menu of classic French dishes.

Yeh it was alright ....food was OK .... atmosphere was OK.

We had a 2-4-1 voucher so worked out quite cheap. Staff don't speak fantastic English.

Would recommend going here for a quick, alright meal.

A very friendly French restaurant. Felt quite rustic and 'cosy' The service was excellent and there was a very good choice of menu.

3 females, 1 male behind the bar, 3 tables occupied. No welcome, I sat down. After waving without response as they cleaned glasses above the bar, went to the bar to order. Sat down, the guy who happily took my money, forgot to pour my pint so had to return to bar to ask. No apologies no care. Steak Frites excellent but side dish was tiny and overpriced. If they are trying to imitate a French restaurant with staff which just does. Not give a hoot, they are succeeding. If I would be the owner, I would give them a very basic training. As I write this, my finished plate sits on the table for the last 12 minutes without a member of staff even close to the table. I bet 100 quid that I will leave this place without a. Goodbye and with my plate still on my table. Maybe because it's Monday? No excuses. Enjoyed the food but upset about the staff. Sort it now.

Menu choice good, surroundings somewhat drab but clean. Food was ok without being groundbreaking. Service was exceptionally POOR. The waitresses really could not give a fig, and it is solely because of them I would neither recommend nor return!!!!

Went to Auberge at the weekend, it seemed fairly busy. The restaurant was closed for a private party so we sat in the bar area which wasn't too bad. It's not the cheapest restaurant of it's kind but we thought that for £15 per dish and £5 per glass of wine, that we would get decent food. The wine was nice but when our Beef Bourguignon arrived, large parts of it were cold. Not luke warm, but stone cold, like it had just been taken out of the fridge. Wasn't at all happy about this and did complain. The staff took it back to be warmed up, but it had already spoilt the whole meal. Although the staff did apologise, there was an element of not caring in her tone and demeanour. Even when it was brought back hot, the food was average and for the price, there are plenty of other options that are far better.
