Description: "Definitely a place to be seen. Owner Gino Santini serves up fabulous Italian flare. Elegant and sophisticated restaurant with a newly refurnished cocktail bar where diners can also enjoy a lighter meal if they prefer. Menu highlights include seasonal salads, homemade pasta such as spaghetti with fresh lobster and papperdelle with artichokes and a range of fresh fish and meat dishes."

“Sensational flavours!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Staying at The Grovesnor, we wandered out looking for somewhere to dine and happened upon this place. What happy circumstance! I had the lamb which was glorious, followed by zabalione, every spoon of which was heavenly. The service was first rate and the wine was very good. Not an inexpensive evening, but one of the best dining experiences we had in London.

“shocker...”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Beyond poor, overpriced food and shockingly bad service....the decor is dated and there is little or no atmosphere, the outside terrace is marginally better but flawed by same rude staff and dreadful food....the almost as bad as nearby Como Lario...stay in and cook if this is the only option for supper!

“Good quality true Italian”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

We had a really good experience on a busy Saturday with a lot of Italians visiting for what seems to be family gatherings .... We take this as the ultimate sign of quality for an italian restaurant.
The decor is nothing special and it seems there is something amplifying the noise (it was a little loud for our taste)
The food was really good and plenty. We took the full italian menu with 3 courses (Antipasti, pasta, main)
We can strongly recommend Santini

“Perhaps the finest Italian restaurant in London”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Five star atmosphere, superb service, authentic, delicious Italian cuisine. If you're not an native Italian nor haven't visited Italy yet then you're probably not qualified to judge just how good Santini's food (and service) really is. Santini's Italian staff (from all over Italy) understand service and food preparation. Unlike most "Italian" restaurants (not just in London) some of which were opened by Italian expats who have sold out by catering to what the local appetite yearns for: Quasi-Italian food which tends to sell better because it's easier to prepare and cheaper to sell, Santini is the real deal. If you're on a limited budget don't expect to enjoy the full dining experience but whatever you order will be good. One complaint: The artichoke appetizer was messy and hard to eat; lose the sauce, Santini. Try Ristorante Nino in Rome for some of the tastiest artichokes in Italy. In summary however, Bravissimo! Avete fatto molto bene! Grazie e ci si vede la prossima!

“Thoroughly enjoyable”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

Had a very nice supper here with a work colleague. The service was excellent, and the food and wine was well matched, reasonably priced and perfectly prepared. I had the lobster and it was perfect. The restaurant is well laid out, quite intimate and there exists a pleasant atmosphere. The menu was interesting and had many items I would like to try - so I suspect I will return. More of a business or romantic place to dine, rather than family venue.
