Description: "Definitely a place to be seen. Owners Gino Santini & daughter award winning food writer Laura Santtini serve up fabulous Italian flare. Elegant and sophisticated restaurant with a newly refurnished cocktail bar where diners can also enjoy a lighter meal if they prefer. Menu highlights include seasonal salads, homemade pasta such as spaghetti with fresh lobster and papperdelle with artichokes and a range of fresh fish and meat dishes."

I had no idea this restaurant was used by the rich and famous until i came on to see how it was rated. Now reading reviews i am mindboggled!!.I just arrived at 6pm for a quick pre theatre meal before Wicked at the Apollo with my fiancee.I am sad to say a restaurant in Chinatown the following night was better and half the price. We tried several top tripadvisior restaurants in London and this was the worst. The staff etc were excellent it was the starter and main i thought was tasteless, the fish in the main was presented terrible and not cooked correct.I am shocked it has a Michelin star.I have ate in Rome in some of the best restaurants and know good Italian food from Michelin starred to small family run places.Yes nice surroundings but both our starter and main were so bad i feel i needed to review this. The desert was nice and we had a nice bottle of wine but really dissapointing......

First went to this restaurant back in May 2012, with my friend from Finland. We decided to go again, and to our surprise we had the same exact seating as in May :D ! Food is just delicious, staff are very attentive, but not over intrusive as in some restaurants. Service was excellent, no waiting in between courses, and we both left with full stomachs !! Was a perfect evening, beautiful food with a beautiful guest Fairly pricey, but then im a strong believer in you get what you pay for !!
Will surely visit again , next time we are both in London

We arrived and the staff were very friendly and reassured us that we would have time to eat our meal before theatre at 7.30. There was a pre theatre menu available which looked nice but one of us did not want to eat from it and the manager said we all had to eat from the pre theatre menu or the main menu and not mix it. This was a pity so we all ordered from the main menu.

We all had different types of pasta which really was delicious. Some of the best I've ever tasted! But the portions were too small. The puddings were also delicious.

They were right, service was quick and we were ready to get to the theatre on time although it was really rather expensive. It would have been much better value if we had chosen the pre theatre set menu.

Staff were very attentive although one waitress did loiter around the table too much topping up glasses every two minutes which was a bit intrusive and over zealous!

Dean Martin is supposed to have said about Frank Sinatra "Its Frank's world, the rest of us just live in it". Walking in Sinatra's footsteps to his favourite London restaurant you won't be disappointed. Santini is a classic Venetian restaurant with tables outside for summer and an interior that is perhaps a little cliched but not dated. The tables give you plenty of room and the waitress remembers what you drank the last time you came. The owner is often around and introduces himself which is a nice touch. The food is exactly what you expect. Fresh, classic antipasti (artichoke and zucchini flowers are excellent), al dente perfect pasta and comfort italian like veal milanese. The perfect zucchini fritti are a personal weakness. With wine and coffees the bill is around £60 a head but you go away knowing you ate something good and not hungry!
