Hotel is in a great location. Close to Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, and so much more. Rooms were nice. Especially loved the purified water available on every floor with bottling stations to take for a day out.

Another Average+ hotel; The Grand at Trafalgar Square was better than I expected. I booked on a short notice prepaid business rate. It was good value. My room was small but clean and in good decorative shape. But the usual unopenable window and noisy, ineffective aircon were an irritation. The Hotels real srengths are its location and really fab common spaces. I enjoyed a good dinner and drinks in the spectacular bar/restaurant. Visitors to London wanting to see the sights and have a good base would find the Grand meeting most expectations.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was up-to-date, clean, comfortable, and located in the heart of things. This hotel has nice towels and WASH CLOTHS! I will stay here again on future travel to the UK

Room Tip: Even the room next to the elevators was quiet and nice. All floors have ice and water dispenser with...

Spent two nights at this hotel in 2012 and revisited recently for a Saturday night stopover in London (Feb 2013). Lovely large clean rooms, ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you are disturbed by street noise (it never really bothers me when staying away for pleasure & to be honest you can't really avoid noise in central London). The staff are really friendly and efficient, more than happy to check you in early if possible (happy to look after bags if not). There is a machine at the front desk for fast check out (insert room key and print out/email receipt). Great location, 2 mins from the square and ideally placed for the theatres.
During my first stay my daughter, wife and I were upgraded to a suite (two separate rooms with a passageway and lockable exterior door). Would definitely recommend, good value for the money.

Room Tip: As I mentioned get a room at the back of hotel to avoid noise from street (which isn't excessive...

Had a fantastic couple of nights based here during Half Term. Great location being so close to Trafalgar Square to use as a convenient base to explore the sights of London. Shared a Queen room with my 9-year old daughter and it was plenty big enough for both of us. Friendly and helpful staff who were welcoming and made us feel right at home. Had a memorable stay and would definitely stay there again given the opportunity!

Room Tip: Suggest to try the new extension part of the hotel which is much warmer and further away from the bu...

As a regular at the Grand Hotel (I stay there for both business and pleasure) I have to be honest and say that I can't fault it!

Every room I have stayed in has been clean, comfortable and presentable, and i’ve been lucky enough to stay in rooms which great views such as Nelson's column etc, plus, for London the rooms are spacious!

On each floor there is filtered water, ice and bottles available for guests.

The employees at check-in are extremely helpful and courteous.
During your stay you can request an ipad (free of charge to use) for the duration of your stay which is perfect if you haven’t brought your laptop or want to do some internet surfing on the free wifi!

The location is ideal as it's so central to everything!

As the hotel is just off Trafalgar Square, the National Portrait Gallery and The Strand are just a stone throw away and within walking distance (10 to 15 mins max) is Covent Garden, Leicester Square (Soho and China Town), The London Eye, Buckingham Palace and so on... the list is endless!

Closest tube stations Embankment (district and circle lines) and Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern Lines) both underground stations are literally a 2 to 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Overall I would recommend the Grand Hotel, it's good value, amazing location and has great staff.

Hope this helps!

Very business friendly. The whole staff was very accommodating. Listen to these amenities: Free bottles of water, free laundry machines with free detergent (only 1 washer and 1 dryer but if you stay on the weekend it is not busy), free business center with computers and printer, free England plug adapters, and free wifi internet! The hotel is located between 2 underground stations and walking distance from many attractions like the London eye and the Parliament and the National Gallery. Has room service. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the hotel and the location.
