“The Perfect London Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is the perfect London hotel. The location is just the best, literally just a few yards from Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross Station! The rooms are very spacious for London, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with large comfortable beds. Ours also had tea/coffee making facilities and a 'fridge. The staff are very helpful and friendly and multi-lingual. There is also a very smart bar and restaurant serving great cocktails and superb food. What more do you need? Book it now!

Room Tip: All three of our rooms were perfect!

Really great stay here. Location is very central. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and quiet despite being moments away from the London hustle and bustle. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to London, my husband and I have already booked our next stay!!!

I stay in London hotels at least once a week. It's not often I write a review. I kinda think that if I encourage "you people" to stay in my favourite ones then the next time I want to book "you people" will have beaten me to it :{

I'm making an exception here. I know it's quite new. I know it's going to hike it's prices real soon now and I know that next time I'm looking it will probably be outside of my budget (£140-£190)

It's lovely. Quite simply lovely.

The public areas have a cool but sophisticated air. My room has been put together by someone who clearly understands what a business traveler needs: Quiet, Internet Access, Comfort, Everything working.

it's the details that count. A shelf in the shower to put your own toiletries on; A wardrobe that doesn't assume you are out to steal the coat hangers; Aircon that doesn't require a user manual; A piece of furniture you can open a standard airline carry on case on; not putting one of those things on the end of the bed (what are they called/for?). Small things, tiny details, but they slip you easily from "Journey" to "Arrived".

Fantastic location. Right on Trafalgar Square. By the time you read this I won't be able to stay here anymore. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am.

Room Tip: Front rooms have excellent sound proofing, back rooms are better if you want to open a window

Stayed at The Grand for our honeymoon during the week after Christmas '12. Had a very good experience. Clean hotel which is a MUST for me. Was able to easily control the temperature inside our room which was helpful. The big draw of this hotel was the incredible location. As first time visitors to London, we could not have picked a better location. Lots to do, places to eat and drink, sights to see all seeming like just steps away. One tiny little damper, 1 of the 2 lifts was out of service for 2 days during our stay, but it gave us the opportunity to utilize the beautiful stairwell in the middle of the building. Would definitely recommend The Grand to others!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view! Ours overlooked an alley that must have had a neighboring kitchen, so t...

We stayed at the Grand this weekend with our 2 daughters aged 9 & 10. We have a suite with its own kitchenette and a sofa bed for the girls. The location of the hotel is 2nd to none & even thou its centre of London the traffic did not affect our sleep one bit,
The breakfast wasnt cheap but was plentiful & the service was excellent.
The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless and all the staff we pleasent.
Would definately go again

Booked 2 rooms of this hotel online based on tripadvisor reviews. Stayed 5 nights in late December 2012. The hotel is located in a very good location for tourists. Several museums nearby. Tube station is within 2 minutes walk. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Bus stop is in front of the hotel. Shops are plenty. Even Oxford street is within walking distance. The rooms are not big but okay for tourists. Wifi is free at an acceptable speed. Microwave in each room for easy meals. Laundy and dryer is available for free. Receptionists are very helpful. All is okay for tourists. Would stay there again

We stayed at the Grand during New Year's Week. It is amazingly situated. You are steps away from Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, the Mall, and the Strand. Covent Garden, the West End, and Regent Street are just a few minutes away on foot. You can get by without ever having to take the Tube, but two stops are right outside the front door (Embankment and Charing Cross) to take advantage of so you can reach the other sites of the city. Our room was comfortable and clean and the shower was always hot. The staff was very helpful, and Alex, one of the managers, went out of his way to make our stay all the better. We will definitely return to London and to this hotel.
