“Great base for London”

We (a family of 4) have just spent 4 nights in this hotel and we were very pleased with our overall stay, the staff were freindly and helpful and our room was well looked after. It was in easy reach of the tube system and central finchley (the nearest tube station) was on the northern line which took you straight into the city centre. One tip we would share is to buy your day travel passes as soon as you get there and that enables you to use the buses to and from the tube station too and we found this a benefit as we walked so much during our stay that every chance to sit down was appreciated. Our only complaint was the selection for breakfast, we understand that the area is mainly jewish but I would say the guests were about 50-50 and the lack of bacon or ham made the breakfast choice limited for the period of our stay. We appreciate and respect that religious restrictions should be catered for but surely both parties can be accomadated, we even looked for a cafe close by for a couple of rashers but couldnt find any.

We would def give the hotel a big thumbs up for a London break and our kids asked if we can return on the 3 hour journey home so high praise from them too.

just stayed at this hotel when i arrived there was problem with power also problem with hotel stating ample car parking which was not the case as park full and had to park on street
during night there was a complete failure of power and the staff did not seem to know what to do there was no emergency lights so place in total darkness
on checking out many people complaining but attitude of staff was what could they do when pointed out the safety aspect if there was an emergency they just comment nothing they could do

otherwise this hotel is clean and rooms are good size some of front desk staff good maybe this was just a once off problem if so would suggest the management train the staff how to handle this type of problem and put the customer first

Especially on for a Saturday night stay early booking saves you pounds. The rooms are clean and offer a quiet comfortable night's sleep. Just off the North Circular with its own free parking it is very convenient for visiting north London. This stay our breakfast was fine and the hot food delicious but in the past when eating after 09:00 it has been rather tired. Although the hotel has a WIFI facility this is a pay per hour system.
The staff are generally friendly compared with many London hotels.

Stayed here for 4 days with my daughter. The only down side is the location: you have to take a bus to get to the nearest underground station, but they do run quite often. Also, no restaurants near by (bus again). The hotel is spotless clean, breakfast is ok (don't take eggs and sausages...not very nice), very good rates for London.

Stayed here for a week as a family of four, and while we only used the room at night time, it was a very pleasant stay and i would definitely come here again. The room was a little small and not enough wardrobe space but it was spotless. The breakfast was just what I would expect from a holiday inn and considering the price of the room , it was really good value for money. The staff were always pleasant and very helpful. Our room was on the road side but when the windows were closed you couldn't hear a thing. Bus stop right outside the hotel made it very convenient to get wherever you are planning to go to. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very clean hotel. parking on first night was perfect but on 2nd night very very busy but still had place to get parked also there is on street parking. Breakfast was average. No restaurant but a few eating places close by. Noisy from the traffic but when window closed could hardly here anything. i would recommend this hotel. and i would stay there again.

Stayed for 2 nights 20 & 21 September 2012. What a pleasant place. The rooms very clean but basic with hardwired and wifi Internet Access, free for 1 hour. Bathroom really good and efficient use of 1 door. Breakfast was quite good but the scrambled eggs did not look very appetising, the dinning room very nice and clean but beware of the staples under the seat when moving the chair closer to the table. Outside the hotel there is a bus stop and if you take either bus, 82 or 460, and change at Golders Green station and then catch the 13 you can get right into Piccadilly Circus of Trafalgar Square.
But back to the Hotel. Situated on the North Circular but no noise in the room. Customer Service is fine and the staff very friendly. There is a Bar but I did not use it. There is a courtesy Car Park at the rear but not very big. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to the Smoke..

Room Tip: My room on the first floor faced Finchly Road and was quiet enough.
