Read a few of the previous reviews so went with the Church St. Staff couldn't be more friendly, breakfast was terrific. Room small but exceptional clean. As people mentioned, it is a little out of the hub of London, but it is only zone two so it's not an terrible. Plenty of buses close by to get you around. And dinner at the Angels and Gypsies next door a must. Thanks Hugo for a great stay, good start to our European trip.

Loved the decor and staff at this hotel, breakfast yummy, rooms finished really nicely. Bit noisy if you're in a room facing onto Camberwell Church Street despite sound proofing. Steep staircase without a lift but but otherwise a great place to stay.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Church Street Hotel, located in South London with good bus connections and a good choice of restaurants nearby. Our standard double room with en suite bathroom was decently sized, and we especially liked the Mexican themed decorations throughout the hotel. It was sufficiently clean, except for the floors (hair on the bathroom floor).
We appreciated the good complimentary coffee and breakfast. The only drawback was the only common area being the breakfast room which was used in the evenings as an extension of the restaurant downstairs.
The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful (thanks again to Konstantin at the front desk and Maria in the breakfast room).

A splash of latino colour in the drab world of mid price london hotels. Quirky and beautiful. Well worth venturing off the tube map.

I booked double suite, because a bathroom was in the room (some rooms don't have bathroom).
The rates were very good in comparison with other hotels in central London.
Breakfast is excellent. Rooms are clean.
Only one remark: the hotel is a bit far from the tube and the center. But it takes 15-20 minutes to get to Parliament Square by the bus no 12 (the bus stop is almost in front of the hotel). Further the bus goes to Trafalgar Square, Picadilly, Oxford Circus. I've never been to Oval Tube station. It takes 10 minutes to Elephant and the Castle and 13 minutes to Waterloo.

Really original and quirky. Great change from corporate hotel UK. Love the complementary chocolate and hot sauce. Food in the new restaurant downstairs is fantastic too.

You have to know your way around London to get there but its worth the trip. All the desk staff are terrific, very helpful, and genuinely nice people. Good breakfast- lovely fresh breads. Very comfortable rooms, wonderful decor, quiet if requested. Nice safe neighborhood with fruit stand across the street. Restaurant next door has great food but is super noisy.
