I need to preface this review by saying that we are an American family of four on our first trip to Europe.
We needed a larger space, since with two teenage children, one male and one female, a typical one room hotel room would not work for us. We had a two bedroom, one bathroom unit, with an ample size living room as well. The kitchen was not useful for much other than the mini-fridge.
The staff was incredible. Each person we met went out of their way to help us. When we were lost, they did not give us directions, but walked with us to restaurant. The laundry facilities were FREE and get help before you start, it's not obvious.
The location was very convenient, 5 minute walk to Pimico, or 15 minutes to Victoria. It is a quiet neighborhood, so don't look for nightlife here.
On the negative side, there was NO air conditioning. Luckily, it wasn't too hot when we were there, but for us spoiled Americans it was not the best sleeping weather. There were very few outlets, so we were doubling on charging all our electronics, and we couldn't get the fan to reach the bedroom.
We also would NOT recommend their restaurant. Breakfast was included, but the continental breakfast consisted of stale, dry, pastries, and the hot breakfast was not quick. For tourists in a hurry to get in and out, the restaurant didn't really work for us. The man in charge of the breakfast was the only surly staff member we ever encountered.

A mere 5 minutes walk from Pimlico Tube station and 15-20 minutes walk from Parliament Square, Dolphin House is superbly located for any visitor to London. As accommodation though, it's unusual to say the least but in a pleasing and curious way. If you've seen the Ian McKellern version of Richard III set in an alternative history 1930s Britain, then this would be the "Middleham"!!! There's a castle like feel to this place and you get the impression you're a bit privileged to be in there, especially when you read it's history. Built around a courtyard, the centrepiece is a deceptive looking brick blockhouse which is home to a superb pool with sauna & steam room attached, plus at another level, a bistro type restaurant. The pool is a reasonable size, crystal clear and clean feeling. I only had breakfast there but it was plentiful without being over facing and tasty as well as tasteful (sausages from a Mayfair butcher!!) but I would like to have tried it for dinner. My room was huge by comparison to a mainstream London hotel, complete with a kitchenette. If you're even vaguely contemplating this place, do give this art-deco red brick castle a whirl - it's a novel experience!

Stayed two nights on business. Location is great, rooms are really good (if slightly dated). No aircon though, so beware in summer. I like the fact it's part of a residential complex. The food in the restaurant is great, even if the service is incredibly slow.

Stayed two nights for my best friends hen do. Got to the apartments and expectations were high from what I read and seen on their website. There was 11 of us altogether and sat in the hotel lobby for about 30 minutes until one of us checked in. After a long journey from newcastle it was a little tedious having to wait but we were in good spirits being our mates hen do after all!

We were eventually given keys to 1 room (rather than 4) and were told our rooms were not ready. (It was about 4pm by this point so we would have thought they would have been ready having booked the room months inn advance). but anyway, we all piled into this one bedroom apartment and waited about another hour until we were given keys to other rooms. We were then told one room (with 3 of us in it) would have to change rooms for the second night.

Rooms were lovely though, all different and spacious, beds comfortable and very clean. Air conditioning would have been nice, but we were only bothered by the heat as we stayed in London during the hottest weekend of the year (and i'm being a little picky here!).

The first morning we went down for breakfast about 9.45am (breakfast was til 10.30). The waitress took ages to take our order which wasn't great because we were starving! To cut a long story short, our other table of friends had finished their breakfast and we still hadn't had ours. We asked the same waitress where our food was to be told, after she checked with the kitchen, that the ticket had went missing so they food would be made now, by this point it was about 10.25am.

10.30 came and went and the waitress came back over to say there was 1 sausage left for three of us. We were not happy, best part of breakfast! , but we said ok and waited for our food. A few minutes later we were told breakfast was over and would we like to see the lunch menu?! by this time the rest of our party were in the pool waiting for us to join them. We made a complaint to the hotel manager, Ahmed (I think his name was), who promised us wine as a sorry. We eventually got a pitiful breakfast (no sausages!). Ahmed then said we were due a refund for breakfast (which we still haven't got, even after leaving my contact details at the desk when we checked out).

One good thing out of the palarva at breakfast that morning, we refused to move rooms! Ahmed didn't know what to say when we said we didn't have time now to move rooms... still waiting to hear what he has to say on this...

Luckily this didn't spoil our day and we laughed it off in the end. I am just thankful this didn't happen to the bride-to-be!

overall nice apartments but hope the staff are a little more attentive and professional!

we stayed here for my sister's hen night. I had booked two studio apartments but was upgraded to two one bed apartments. The apartments were lovely with a separate living area, large bathroom and a lovely bedroom, with very comfy beds. The swimming pool and saun awere also very good and one of the reasons why i booked this place. My only issue was that they were so strict on check in time. We arrived at 2:30 and they wouldn't allow us into our rooms even half an hour early, and the girl on check in was very rude. We ended up having to start to get ready in the changing rooms of the pool, as we had to head out again at 4.... given the occasion, they could have been a bit more flexible.

Room Tip: top floor had nice views and was quiet

Stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms are a good size with plenty of space to spread out. The apartments are close to the underground or a 35 minute walk from Westminster Abbey. The river Thames is close by and there are shops not far to allow you to buy food to cook in the apartments. A good base for either a solo traveller (like me) or families to stay whilst in London. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever back in London. It is opposite a school so it can get a little noisy once the kids start to turn up in the morning if your room is on the street side.
