“Worst place ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013

This was my worst experience in a hostel ever. It is an insult call this place a hostel, this is worst than sleep on the streets. I paid for a shared bedroom with 4 beds and they put me in a shared bedroom with 8 beds in a male dorm. The wi-fi is paid and the bathroom is really dirt.
We found a mouse in the dorm. When we went to check-out, the recepcionist didn't want to give our money for deposit the key back, even wiith the recepit and key. And last, she called a other employee and star to talk bad things about us in french. unfortunately for her, my friend speaks french. Horrible! Do not spend your time in this place!!!

Room Tip: Do not stay here!!!!

The description says no smoking but people in this hostel drink and smoke all day and night, there is a bar attached but it's not like other bars in hostels this one all the paying guests can hear!!! The hashish smoking down outside by the guests can go on till early hours of the morning, once the guest has complained and the manager has come to the room to see who it is and not allowed the person to extend in the hostel, as it was his birthday and he was having a party at the expense of the paying guests. It has the worth mattresses, need extra duet on top to sleep on it otherwise you will feel the broken metal on the mattresses on your back. It's the cheapest hostel however cheap doesn't mean it should be allowed be run as a hostel as there is health and safety issues and manager obviously acts as a criminal although reception is friendly - though again I have heard when a lady complained of the noise of music late at night, they have told her that it's not a hotel!!! Wifi they provide is very bad £10 for a week that it's not worth it as can't use it much.

spend a couple extra pounds and stay elsewhere. Seriously scary and grimy place. Dirty, loud, questionable people hanging around outside, mattresses were only left with springs. We had booked for 3 nights, and because of late night arrival, we had no choice but to stay and the only good part was they gave us no hassles about cancelling the remaining 2 nights booked.

It's a very bad hostel int terms of everything. You can feel the spring of the mattress which is hard to sleep with. There is a shower, i repeat just a shower (not a bathroom) in a 8 bunk bed room. The hostel looks like a place where drug dealers go and hide. Location is in zone 2 which is abit far from central london. You wont feel safe in this kind of hostel.
The only good thing about the hostel is its cheap. but there are alot of other hostels near zone 1 with the similar price.

Room Tip: There are no good about this place.

I stayed there for 2 nights but that was a night mare for me and my friends. The locality and the atmosphere is very bad. The bathrooms are closed most of times for cleaning but I dont know what they clean. It was always dirty. Though it was just opposite to underground station but select this hostel only if u are out of budget. The hostel is very dirty, the stairs and walls are untidy. The beds make sound as if it will break down at any moment. I will never visit this hostel.

It's very cheap, it's fairly close to central London and handy for tube and the 18 bus. There's also a pub next door, On the other hand: the reception staff are reasonably helpful but obviously winging it. Room overcrowded (8 tiny bunks in a double room!!? How can this be legal?), no storage space whatsoever let alone room to unpack, room lock broken, impossible to tell whose bunk was whose, windows and curtains unopenable - you can imagine the smell; bunks sagging and unstable, bedding (one old, manky single quilt) and carpet filthy, shower inoperative, washbasin water a cold trickle, toilet disgusting and too far from room. Cafe staff sullen and unwelcoming. In a word, minging. More of a hovel than a hostel. I and partner (who have hostelled all over the world) booked three nights and might have stayed but for the weirdo in the window bunk who didn't even say 'hi' and had obviously been in the bunk all day - and was still there reeking the next day when we went back to get our stuff - and somebody had used the towel I put on the bunk to 'reserve' it. If you stay here you are a masochist; yes it's cheap but you will not sleep and will feel filthy for days. Subtract 2 from score above

Room Tip: There aren't any good rooms. Take blindfold, earplugs, air freshener, padlocks and sleeping pill...

Just don't stay here if you want to sleep well. The hostel is situated directly aside Harrow Road, a major street in London with cars speeding the whole night. Even if you are a carefree character, you might want to consider another place. For everybody severely on a budget, opt for a proper youth hostel.
