My daughter and I stayed for a couple of nights and were very happy with the apartment. We did try and use the hob once, but did have difficulty with turning it on. Would stay again, especially good if you are going to the Royal Albert Hall

Pros-
* great location, 1/2 block from Gloucester tube station which is served by several lines, very handy from Heathrow, V&A and Natural History museums just down the street and shops around the station.
*clean, well furnished rooms with handy mini kitchens
*nice bedding, but pillows were like rocks.
*quiet room at the back of the building, but quite dark due to little outside light, the ubiquitous gray walls and dark woodwork and poor lighting.

Cons-
* staff was at times bewildered, helpful or could care less
* gave them requested info on arrival time when reservation was made, then was told to go wander around for 2 hrs until the room was ready upon arrival - no suggestions as to where to go or what to do. Luckily we had not arrived on a long-haul flight and the weather was good.
* Clearly they are catering to corporate travel as they were having meetings with company travel planners in the lounge - probably why individual travelers are not a priority.
* Bar all set up but no service, food on bar but no one indicated whether it was for guests or the corporate clients they were entertaining.
* at check in no mention of the advertised welcome pack and it was not in room. No one mentioned the breakfast room location, time it was open or what the charges were or the fitness facilities. Nothing in the room about the hotel layout and amenities either or what is in the surrounding area.
*bathroom lighting awful, lights aimed at the middle of the floor and mirror is unlit. Had to use mirror in sitting/bedroom and that was only marginally better.
* allocated one hand and one bath towel per person per day (no wash cloth or mitt) so if you wash your hair you have to choose between wrapping the towel around your head or your body. Towels are dingy and small for a new property. Heated towel rack was nice though.
*best lighting in the room was over the middle of the bed, desk lamp shot the light upwards leaving the desktop in shadows.
* strange that an English hotel only had about 6 TV stations(channels go up to 800) in English and they were all news or sports
*they charged a substantial "damage" deposit and then told us that it would not be refunded for 35 days!

Frustrating stay because they have a great property, but no one is dealing with the details or providing much service. Considering the number of other hotels in the area at around the same price point, we will try one of them instead this spring when in London again.

Room Tip: Upper level rooms at the back are quite with the exception of the creaking from the floor above but that is to be expected in an older building.

The whole experience was brilliant. Travelling with a child I asked for an early check-in at and was able to check-in upon my arrival after a long flight from Sydney. The stafff were courteous, friendly and helpful. The rooms beautiful, obviously upgraded recently. Great location.

Pro: The Aparthotel is newly renovated and renovations are still going on in the 2. week of november.
The rooms were spacious, furniture were new and it had an underfloor heating system, which controls were a little bit difficult to operate, so better ask the reception staff to explain how it works.
The location is very good, 3 walking minutes from the gloucester road tube station, 2 supermarkets were near and a couple of restaurants. The natural history museum is also very near, just 5 minutes away. The kitchen is fully equiped except a noodle sieve and there is an ironing board and a safe big enough for 15" laptops. A small set of cookies and tea is provided

Con: Light sleeper should pack some Oropax if they have a room facing the cromwell road. You can hear the traffic even at night. I only gave 3 points for the sleep quality, not because of the bed which was very good but because of the traffic noise at apartments facing the main road.
The shower concept should be looked into, since you flood the floor every time when you take a shower. And there is no toilet brush? At least there wasn´t one i my room.
There is no flyer which explains how to operate the heating sytem, breakfast times or nearby shops, attractions or how to get around.

Make sure that you don´t get a lower ground apartment. You will get the full traffic noise and people can look down into your room if you have the lights on at the evening.
The basement is a bit like a maze, so try to memorize the way to the next fire exit.

Would i recommend Fraser suites Queens gate and stay here again? Yes, overall its really nice.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing away from the Cromwell road. They have basement apartments too, so clearly state at the booking that you aren´t willing to stay in the basement.

We were booked for a 17 nights stay at Fraser Suites. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the reception staff. The Porter was more than happy to lug all our heavy luggages for us. Check in was quick & efficient and before we knew it, we were already heading to our rooms. There were quite a few of us travelling together so we booked 2 units of 2 room suites.

We got the unit on 2nd floor which was clean, well made up & fully equipped with everything a traveller could need (Ie. Washing machine / dryer, microwave oven, fridge, induction cooker & ironing facilities). The rooms comes with a safe for your valuables & a very plush & comfortable bed. Both rooms also comes equipped with air conditioning units for summer season. There was a minor setback though - the floor boards squeaks pretty badly in some areas of the room (pity the downstairs neighbour whenever we walked over it). It was also rather unfortunate when we realised that there was only one toilet in this 2 bedroom unit which made it inconvenient for us in the mornings.

There are wall mounted heaters along the walkways in case it gets a little cold. The hotel houses a cafe, a quiet R&R area with ipads at your disposal. The pub/lounge in the hotel was not functional during our stay (not sure what was the reason behind this). The coolest feature of this hotel was the alfresco lounge with comfy seats & an Infrared heater in case it gets too cold out there. A collapsible shelter would have been nice though, so that we can still hang out there when it rains.

Location of this hotel was very good and one can really brisk walk in minutes to the natural history museum, science museum or even Hyde park. Also within a stone's throw away - tube service (Gloucester station), Waitrose, Sainsbury, local pubs, eateries (local cuisines or international). I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveller who wants a quality experience, bang for the buck & ideal central location.
