The title really says all you need to know about this hotel. For a short (and relatively cheap) stay in London this hotel is spot on - much better than the travel lodge just across the road.

This is where I always stay when I need to be within walking distance to the city.

Room Tip: No baths available but all the rooms I have stayed in have been smart, clean and quiet which is what...

I have stayed in this Premier Inn many times in the past few years and it has provided a consistent and reliable service throughout that time. Some rooms are bigger than others but all have been clean, with a good shower (no bath) and a comfortable bed and working area. The overall look is slightly better than some budget hotels and the hotel is well looked after with no worn carpets or torn wallpaper. Food is good with an excellent selection for breakfast which is cheap by London standards. Dinner has a reasonable selection and service is very friendly and helpful. Down sides would be no free Wi-Fi (a must for travellers these days) and perhaps the cost of the hotel has shown a steady increase above inflation in the past few years. Up side is location within easy walking distance of the Tower and City of London. One tip for food is to try St Catherine’s dock (near Tower Bridge) for dinner if you choose not to eat at the hotel.

Room Tip: rooms at the back on the lower floors can be a bit noisy from the railway.

Regardless of price range remarkably good.
Food is set at superior pub level and as such is very good.
Staff are truly exceptional in their competence and enthusiastic help.
Rooms are generously proportioned very clean with large very comfortable beds.Large shower with seat if you need it.

The staff made our stay that extra bit more special! So friendly and helpful and make a real fuss of our 2 year old son.
The room was clean and a fantastic size for my family with a decent size bathroom. The location was great, only a few minutes walk to the tower of London and the underground! Looking forward to staying there again soon.

The thing that sets this premier inn apart from the others ive stayed in are the staff. Stayed here a busy week in Sept and they were efficient and very friendly. Was genuinely impressed. Rooms bigger than ave, shower very good, rest as usual premiere inn. Location v handy for undergound and DLR. Todiwala has his restaurant next door and a wetherpoons nearby if req. Rooms nice and quiet. Reommended if you need to be in town.

This was a first stay at a Premier Inn. It compared favourably with another recent stay in a hotel costing 3 times as much. What it lacks in sophistication it makes up for in efficiency and helpful welcome. All aspects of the hotel are good or better. It is well-maintained and effectively staffed, and represents excellent value for money. Once the peculiarities of the London transport system are mastered the distance from the west end becomes a positive advantage.

Room Tip: Back rooms may be quieter. Front corner rooms are larger.

Premier Inn Tower Hill is a good alternative to the more expensive City Hotels. It is nothing fancy, but a room on the back was quiet and it served it's purpose of being a satisfactory place to sleep on a business trip. Desk staff were surprisingly polite, with smiles and it was clear they were there to help (bartok and Daniel especially). Room was plain but much better than Travelodge. Level of amenity in lobby was also higher.
I'd certainly return and would recommend it as a cost conscious alternative. I would rate it as a budget hotel that makes a good effort to appear more than that. It was much appreciated!
