Small rooms but we knew this. Very clean. Very good location, at 2 minutes of Kimg Cross and St Pancras Stations with 4 metro lines and many buses. Good price for these services in center of London.

The hotel is up a quiet side street but is only about 200 metres from Kings Cross and St Pancras railway stations (and tube station) so it's ideally situated for travel connections and for exploring London.

For budget accommodation in London the rates are very reasonable. It's not luxury and doesn't pretend to be so if you're after somewhere luxurious it would be better to look elsewhere. In my view it easily beats other budget accommodation in the area for price and comfort. The hotel looks modern, is carpeted throughout and makes good use of the available space. The rooms are very compact but have everything you need. You do need to be reasonably able-bodied as there's no lift, you have to carry your own luggage and the passageways are narrow and staircases quite steep. It's best not to be overburdened with lugage anyway as there isn't much space for it in the room.

Reception is manned round the clock and the staff are very helpful. On check-in I was issued with a code to access the hotel's free wifi which is very good. Rooms are on 5 levels including a basement but the layout is unusual with 5 separate staircases so there are only 3 rooms to each landing. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. The rooms have wood panelling with minimal furnishing to save space - just 2 very small shelves and some clothes hanging space. There's a kettle with tea/coffee and a hairdryer and plenty of spare electric sockets. The radiator under the window and its adjustable control valve worked fine but it wasn't really necessary even in November. Windows are sash opening. The wall-mounted TV above the small bed worked well and had all the freeview channels. The bathroom is just big enough to fit a shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin (with soap dispensers) and all worked fine. Towels are changed daily. The floor didn't feel level and the bathroom door had a tendency to slam shut which was slightly annoying, as was the automatic fan that stayed on for longer than was necessary.

You don't get breakfast but if you walk the 300 metres or so to Gray's Inn Road there are cafes that do a full English for under £6 or there are several convenience stores open all hours. Another useful feature is the luggage storage room where you can leave bags if your train doesn't leave at a convenient time. It's out of sight beyond reception so there are no concerns.

All told it's a great place if you don't intend spending all day in the hotel but just want a comfortable base to come and go as you please for a reasonable price with every necessity on the doorstep and right next to the transport hub.

Room Tip: For peace and quiet get a room on one of the upper floors at the opposite end to the hotel entrance.

Stayed here for 2 nights to see a show. The location is great - a 3 minute walk from Kings Cross/St. Pancras stations in a quiet side road which meant it was very easy to get to but there was no road noise at all. There was a pub at the back of the hotel but there was no noise from that either.
We were given a basement room which was just ok, 2 reasonably comfortable single beds and a hanging storage area in the corner. A wall-mounted flat screen TV is provided with all the freeview channels and tea/coffee facilities with a good amount of supplies. The bathroom comprised of toilet, shower and the smallest hand basin I have ever seen. The shower water pressure was very poor
The locality felt very safe with a general store closeby and MacDonalds and Burger King both open till the small hours. On the whole I have rated this hotel as "very good" for the locality and the price but I would give the room itself a rating of "average".

The hotels prices are very good considering the location. It was 2min walk to the next subway station, but it was so close to the city that we actually walked two times for half an hour from the hotel to Picadilly circus.

The staff was great! They helped me find a location on the map and told what subway lines to take considering that many of them were closed for the weekend! They were really helpful!

The only thing that is there to consider is that there is no breakfest and the beds might be small for a 2m high person. other than that - perfect.

We needed a one night stay handy to St Pancras for an early Eurostar to Paris. We were just a very short walk away and the room was the size expected (for the price!) in this part of London. The description said a compact room and as we have stayed in microscopic ones in major hotels in London for considerably more money in the past we were very satisfied. The room was clean with everything provided including a hair dryer, bedding was a good quality and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of places nearby for a meal so that is not a problem.

Excellent location for catching an early morning Eurostar to Paris. Staff was very helpful, but that as about it. We stayed in October and was given a room in the basement. Very musty smelling. The mattress should have been replaced a few years ago.
Our room was not ready when we arrived but we were allowed to store our luggage. The room in the hall was not secured and was around the corner from the front desk. No security at all. With the £ at $1.61made this tiny, musty smelling room some what expensive.

I stayed here in late september 2012 for 3 nights. I booked a double room for £75 a night, expecting to get some more space than with just a single room, however essentially it was a single room with the smallest double bed I have ever seen. Actually the room was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. No desk, no towel rack, no shelves and extremely cramp. Oh and here's the funniest thing, the bathroom was so small that I had to open the door to use the sink !
On the positive, it was clean and the wifi worked well.
