“Excellent Cinema with a Wonderful chill out area”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

Jappen to come here with the London Pass as it was raining and wanted to fully utilize the pass. It had a movie The Hobbit 3D which we wanted to watch.
It was a very nice area for you to chill out before the movie. You can order drinks and cakes which you can enjoy while seating on the comfortable sofas.
The cinema is huge I had a good time viewing a 3D movie there.
The staff were very polite and we enjoyed chatting with them as we were very early and just wanted to get out of the rain. The place amazed us as it made it a very fun afternoon.
The clientele here was very different from the other cinemas so it made the viewing even more fun.

“Great hangout for filmgoers”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

I renewed my membership of the Curzon group this year as they offer a great range of films from arthouse to commercial to suit any filmgoer's taste, talks and exhibitions for film buffs, Met Opera live link-ups for those that can't afford the real thing and a lovely cafe/bar and lounge area to relax before a film or at any time one feels like a rest. The bars on all three floors serve lovely coffee, other drinks and snacks and the upstairs cafe serves a gorgeous selection of cakes as well as hot and cold snacks. It's a great meeting place even if you aren't going to see a film and the lounge downstairs with sofas and coffee tables is perfect for lolling about with a book or newspaper or their excellent film programme and there are hard chairs and round tables for sitting at with your laptop or notebook. Toilets are available in the basement and are always well maintained. The staff are helpful and courteous and the three studios are very comfortable for viewing. The audience tends to be more knowledgeable and well-mannered than in the more commercial cinemas so viewing is less distracted by crackling crisp packets although the soft munch of popcorn is still a favourite. Drinks are allowed in the cinema studios.

“Nice arthouse theatre”
Reviewed February 2, 2012

Really nice facilities. There's a coffee bar and cafe upstairs and wi-fi downstairs with a bar. You can take your eats into the theatres too. A nice selection of art films plays.

“Terrific films - and great cake”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

The Curzon tends to supply the more arty films that you should be watching - unlikely to see Transformers 3 here, for example. Sometimes that makes for depressing watching, but since there's a branch of Konditor & Cook in the ground floor of the cinema, you've always got sweet, delicious cake to fall back on - my particular favourite is the rich goodness of the Curly Wurly cake.

The cinemas themselves are terrific - seats are large and comfortable, and the rake is sufficient that you shouldn't ever find your view blocked, unless a giant in a top hat is seated in front of you. Tickets are fairly expensive, but not much more so than in the less characterful cinemas over on Leicester Square.
