“London Sights Weekend”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

Stayed here for two nights as was convenient for tubes, buses Eric. Were told on phone by staff that Edgeware Tube Station was closed so to disembark at Paddington as was only 10 minutes from hotel. After 45 minutes walking with suitcases we arrived! The hotel was a shop front which was a little surprising but we booked in and were told our room number - 410 - on the 4th floor but very sorry, the lift was out of action. There wasn't an offer of taking bags up for us but we did store them in a locked room. We went out for the evening and when we returned at midnight the lifts were working. The carpet on the stairs was very worn and needed replacing but this is where the negatives finish. The bed was extremely comfortable, towels immaculate and shower excellent. Also room was spotless. The breakfasts I the morning (continental) were lovely.

Room Tip: Make sure before you go that lifts are working but think all rooms were probably good although ours...

Dear Marion,

You might have found the hotel entrance a bit small but good news we’ll soon be working on that.
Paddington Station is less than 10 minutes’ walk and four minutes in bus 332 from Comfort Inn Edgware Road.
Apologies if any inconvenience faced but the hotel doesn't provide room service. The lift was fixed within five minutes after you put your bags in the luggage room and left. Thank you for appreciating the room condition and our continental breakfast. We do receive highest marks in these two departments from all our guests.

Appreciate a detailed and constructive review!
Regards
Abida.

From the outside looks awful, inside the rooms are spotless. Very Comfortable bed & good power shower. Continental Breakfast included.Stayed in a lot of budget hotels in London and this is up there with the best. Being only 10 minutes walk from Paddington Station and 15mins walk from Oxford Street it is an ideal base for seeing the sights of London.Stayed for two nights and will certainly use again. A real find

Outside run down, but inside very clean. Small but spotless bedroom we paid £90 for two bigger than single beds, shower very clean and modern and beds very comfy. Staff at reception gave us discount because we were just messed around at a hotel before.
They even offered us free breakfast in the price because of what happened but we didn't get to eat it, we were too hungover. They let us leave us cases there all day too and are back to collect them at night!

Stayed here for 3 days and was very impressed with the staff, service, room size, cleanliness and location. It is about a 10min walk from Edgware (circle line) tube station, 15min walk from Paddington and 25-30min walk from Marble Arch/Oxford Street. The hotel is in the hussle and bussle of Edgware road, great culture, food and safe atmosphere. Ive stayed in many hotels in London but for the price/value - this by far has been impressive and I would most definitely stay here again! Shame it is called 'budget' hotel as that doesnt justify the literal comfort feel of this hotel. HIGHLY recommended!! Plus breakfast was also good basic start to the day, with eggs, cereal, toast etc, simple but good.

Contrary to some of the reviews that I have read on here - I liked my room. It was spacious and very clean; it was not at the back as such, but I still slept ok (hardly any noise coming in from Edgware Road). The carpets in the hallways are old/well worn, but that's not a big deal (unless you plan on sleeping in the hallways). Breakfast is continental (as advertised) - pretty decent, though I'd have preferred a full english breakfast (but again, that was not a big issue). Overall: I'd recommend this hotel to friends (location is a bonus - it's quite handy for Hyde Park and that general area).

Room Tip: If you can, get a corner room (e.g. 109) - they're a lot bigger

If you're looking for a nice hotel for a reasonable price, that's a good choice. The location isn't the most glamorous but it's in a good area, close the tube stations "Edgware Road", which is few stations away from the main attractions. Neither you'll find luxury, but the room is clean and tidy, although small. Breakfast is good and staff is very nice.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing Edgware Road, because of the noise.

Dear Bruno,

The area around us has many aspects to it. It’s famous for having a variety of cuisines and great middle-eastern food. You’ll also find beautiful places like Little Venice, Hyde Park and Lords Cricket Ground at a short minute walk from the Hotel.

We have four room types for you to choose from. The hotel rooms in Central London are comparatively smaller in size than other areas around. But we’ll make sure you get the best choice on your next visit.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and hope we connect again in near future.
Warm regards,
Abida.

We were only in the place for half an hour at morning for breakfast and 10 mins before hitting the sack. there was nothing to whinge about apart from the pokey little room. The continental breakfast was a change from the greasy eggs bacon and sausage thing. Just 10 mins walk to the tube and its not far from Little Venice ' a little known gem of London'. There was no fussing or faffing from the staff, in fact i dont think one word was exchanged between us during the stay..Fine by me.

Dear Terry

It’s a pleasure to read that your stay went well.

Your visit was short otherwise there were so many things to explore about the location and us as well… I’m sure you would’ve found everything else pleasant if there was a little more interaction... but we’ll leave that for you next visit then…???
I very much look forward to welcoming you personally on your next visit to London.
Best regards,
Abida.
