“Character and convenience in London.”

Hubby and I stayed at this charming flat near Earls Court tube station for a week. Leaving the station, turn right at the blue police box (Tardis) and walk 2 full blocks before turning right. Left at the Gardens. We left the huge shutters/windows open at night to enjoy the soft summer ambiance - kids laughing in the Gardens and neighbourhood lights shimmering in the dusk. Just wonderful! Booking was easy and our contact Rolf met us at the flat - even though we were late arriving - Bank hols weekend, Notting Hill Carnival etc. He was very helpful and friendly despite our tardiness. This is not a bland modern apartment - more lived in and homey. It does have its quirks, but it is an old building. There are stairs and the shower over the bath may tax someone with reduced mobility. Our security deposit was quickly refunded and communication via email was brilliant. All in all, a hugely positive experience.

Excellent location in a wonderful building, nice views of a private garden in Earls Court Square. We were a family of 5, space was tight but certainly comfortable. Definitely stay here again.

Mightypie, Many thanks for your positive review. We are so pleased you had a pleasant time with us. The apartment is normally for 4 people but we can squeeze another bed in for a child if required.
Regards and best wishes.

Stayed in this property for the initial 8 days of our UK trip and it was wonderful. Made use of the balcony every evening after long days sightseeing. The flat has everything you need. Great communication from the Owner Rolf before and during our stay. Look forward to returning asap - very fond memories on our first trip to the UK

“Great location - but equipment could be improved”
Reviewed August 29, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Excellent location, 5 min walk from Earl's Court station (direct to main London attractions by Underground, also direct from Heathrow airport).
Very nice district. A lot of restaurants very close (and a M&S shop to buy food for example).
The square facing the apartment is very quiet (but you can't access the park).
The building is nice and "bourgeois" (you are asked to be quiet and not slam doors...)
The flat is appropriate for 2 adults and 2 children (3 possible with a rollaway bed).
Pleasant balcony to drink a beer after a long trip in the city.

However, considering the price of the rental, the following equipment could be improved or changed :
- the mattress of the double bed (backache guaranteed !)
- the showerhead (water jet looks more like a tap stream than a rainfall now)
- the fridge (it is dark inside...)
- the old windows are difficult to open and close in sleeping rooms, and as a consequence they don't protect you from ouside noise (fortunately there is not so much noise in the area).
- the curtains in the child room don't close completely (but our children could sleep in broad daylight !
Because there is no dishwasher, the cleanliness of the dishes depends on the previous occupants (we were moderately lucky).

There was also a misunderstanding with the rental agency to get the keys ; we tried to call the phone number that was provided but nobody answered (it was on Sunday). We had to wait approx. one hour at the door (but the weather was good and everybody was patient).

“Lovely Flat”

The terrace flat was a great place to stay for myself and 3 friends for our week in London. The location was lovely - across from a quaint garden with blooming trees and flowers, close to the Earl's Court tube stop (about 5 min easy walk), near restaurants and grocery/drug stores. We got a quick breakfast (fruit, hard boiled eggs, fresh baked croissant/scone) on our way out each morning at the M&S Food store very near the Tube station. Enjoyed dinner at the Blackbird Pie Shoppe (reasonably priced pub food) and Zizzi(delicious Italian) both on Earl's Court Road. The flat was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated inside. It had everything we needed from a tea pot to comfortable beds (including the 2 couches which easily accommodate sleeping). We enjoyed the table/chairs on the terrace and sat there often. Would appreciate an upgrade to towels (and addition of hand towels/wash cloths), but they were adequate. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak but worked fine for the hand shower. Rolf, the owner, was excellent to work with - he was prompt with booking communication, met us at the flat and provided instruction and good information upon our arrival. Would highly recommend the flat and would stay again.

“Our cosy London home away from home”
Reviewed January 26, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We stayed in the apartment for 12 nights and it really did become our little home. The location is excellent. We looked out on the peaceful Earls Court Square garden and one morning even saw a fox! It is so close to Earls Court tube station that we could get to anywhere in London and out to Heathrow with ease. There were plenty of places to eat close by and the local Marks and Spencers was a convenient place to buy food etc. The apartment was big enough for our family of four to relax. Everything was clean, tidy and in working order. The only issue was that like most old buildings in London there is very low water pressure; so we took to the English custom of having a bath as an alternative to a shower. Also the two single beds are not as comfortable as the couches to sleep on!

This flat was wonderful. It was clean and cozy. Rolf and Keith were very helpful with the booking and with arrangements. It is located just a couple blocks away from the Underground, and is therefore very convenient to get to anywhere in London. We were able to do all of our sightseeing without a car. The neighborhood is cute and quaint and very quiet. There is a grocery store nearby as well as numerous restaurants and breakfast spots.
