“Now this is what a 5 star hotel SHOULD be like.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2011

Stayed here for a few days with my girlfriend at the start of December as a treat to do a little sightseeing, museums and see a gig. I have stayed here before with work and knew how good it was so was happy to be able to get a good rate through my work which makes the following even sweeter.
This hotel is situated adjascent to St Pauls cathedral and has views of it from the roof bar (not great in winter, granted!) and lives up to it's 5* billing. Immaculately clean with staff that do anything to keep the customer happy luxury is the word.
Check in is easy with plenty of staff so no long queues. The glass lifts allow you to see the atrium with its video walls before you get a chance to eat there.
Once you get to your room which has lots of features including an ipod docking radio alarm and a big flatscreen TV you are confronted with a huge bed which is the comfiest I have slept in. Loads of pillows and cushions on the bed and also the sofa which allows a bit more of a relaxed feel. Plenty of wardrobe space and your own ironing board and iron which are par for the course in a 5*.
The bath/shower room is a big area with top & side spraying shower and a mirror that didn't steam up.
As regard the area, its great and has loads of decent restaurants and bars and is very near St Pauls tube which is handy for all manner of tube lines.
All in all this hotel is great and if you can get a decent rate then stay there.

I took my girlfriend to this hotel for a romantic weekend in London. I had booked a superior double room but on arrival it was upgraded to an executive double. The hotel overall is very trendy and really spotless. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and extremely helpful.

We had breakfast included and it was very tasty. The Spa area including the swimming pool and steam rooms were very relaxing. The location is great with views of St Paul's Cathedral from the hotel.

Stay here!

Great little find, directly next to St Paul's Cathedral and within easy walking distance of the both the tube and rail. New, clean, trendy and an excellent price.

I would usually keep a gem like this my own personal secret!!

I stayed four nights in mid January with five other colleagues on a business trip...6 rooms total. The hotel is modern. The soaring Atrium and Glass elevator banks are spectacular. The front desk is a friendly and helpful group. I was in a two room business suite (US $767/nite) The suite has a sitting room where 6 of us were able to conduct business in the evening. The bedroom contained a very large king bed, desk, small closet and bathroom. The decorative coverlet over the duvet was pretty stained and I took it off each day, but it was back on each night. The bathroom is tiny , but generally well conceived except for the shower which is too small for normal sized people and complicated to use. It is impossible not to spray water across the floor past the open clamshell doors. It's just a shower that sprays several ways. There is a full sized tub, they would have been far better off putting in a full sized shower in lieu of the tub. Every day the bathroom water glasses were apparently just rinsed out in the bathroom and left as clean. Even though I marked the glasses to be sure and complained to the front desk, the practice continued throughout my stay. A hole about 3 in square in the drywall was next to the headboard...as far as I know the hole is still there. I would not again pay $760 for a room with flaws and health issues like this one, it is probably OK if you know of the shortcomings on the way in, book a less expensive room, bring your own glasses and have lower expectations.

The room was spotless, luxurious and very spacious. Highlight for me was the bed - it was HUGE! Stayed 3 nights and couldn't fault it. The staff are really polite and helpful as well. Slept like a log due to the comfy bed and no noise disturbance at all.

The location is more of a business district really but saying that it was lovely walking past St Pauls in the morning to the tube station which is a 5 minute walk away. Recommend if you want a quiet 5 star quality stay, but not for those who want to be in the thick of things.

Stayed in the penthouse suite. Great views of the cathedral. And a 106" tele in the living room area. Staff were great and swimming, gym and spa treatments were also amazing. A great stay enjoyed by all

My wife & I stayed here for two nights 15th / 16th Jan 2011. The whole experience was, like the hotel, first class. On arrival we received a warm welcome, booking in was a breeze, choice of rooms etc. The room exceeded expectations, it was lovely, warm, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and on checking out there was areally long queue, the hotel offered drinks to people in the queue. It wasnt really the hotel's fault that everyone checked out at the same time..

If we could have one little moan!! Breakfast is a WHAPPING TWENTY THREE QUID EACH!!!!! I know it's a lovely hotel but come on!! £23 each, nect door a local pub was doing a really great full english for £3.95 or a breakfast bap with tea or coffee included for £2.99.... There were a few people from the hotel in there which is hardly surprising.. Other than that it was a great stay and we'll be back
