I was the first guest to stay in one of the new mini apartment rooms, having arrived late evening to check in.
These are located a walk away from the main hotel - what I wasn't told upon check in is that it means no room service anything.
There were also no hotel details in the room and no working wifi - bit of a pain as I needed to work.
The rooms are lovely , if a bit small but perfect for someone who wants to stay away a few nights and have their own food. There is a mini kitchen with fridge, microwave and crockery. There was cereal and jam provided in the cupboard also.
Beware though that you remember which way you walked to get to the block - I had a job getting back to check out.
A very nice idea but needs final touches.

Spent one night at the Grange and loved it. Expensive but based on what you get and location, I would recommend it. Excellent service, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms. Its greatest asset is the prime location I central London.

Stayed here twice now! Booked through lastminute.com costing £110. This hotel is next to St. Paul's cathedral & the amazing millennium bridge infront of the Tate modern art gallery. Great walk through to southbank to see all the street artiests infront of the london eye! Getting a free newspaper is a nice touch! Lovely wow factor entrance! Drinks & room service is very expensive though small chicken wrap £21! The shower in the bathroom has to be the best shower I have ever been in! It has three sections for the water to jet our of & the bath is lovely & deep! Great consearge service here too if u need a nice car into town! Proberly about 30mins to 1hour walk to the west end. Great value for a 5start amazing hotel in the centre of London! Will defiantly be staying here agian!!

I waited a week before writing this view to reflect; readers will see that most of my reviews are generally positive. This is a clear exception.
My room was well appointed but seriously gloomy, facing inward to the vertex of the triangular atrium, so very little natural light coming through the picture window (facing rooms opposite).
Although well appointed (as described ably by others), the maintenance is clearly substandard. The i- pod dock/ alarm did not work; the telephone by the bed did not work. More irritatingly the mini bar was locked; when I called at 11 pm to report I was told that it was not locked. Oh yes it is, Oh no, it's not... A farcical set of calls and room visit ensued.. after two further calls it was finally agreed there was a fault. I gave up and I asked for it to be sorted in the morning. I'll let you guess whether it was working the next evening...it's as well I brought some water with me.
Breakfast was dire; the cooked was on both days mostly tepid (bacon stone cold) and served on cold plates. Orange juice utterly synthetic. I had to wave repeatedly to get a cup of coffee from staff who were wandering the floor.
At £300 a night this is just unacceptable.
I was asked at check out was everything alright...I explained I was unhappy, very disappointed. There was no reaction other than a muted sorry; no offer of management intervention, no offer of recompense.
I will not return and will not recommend.

Room Tip: I cannot recommend

I have been to the hotel for a day long meeting and really worth to note the flexibility and services Grange provides. Many meeting rooms are convertible and can be made small for sub-meetings quite efficiently.

The lobby is bit congested for serving drinks and food.

Stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Due to a slight mix up with our original room we were very quickly upgraded. The room was spacious, stylish and had a great view of the cathedral.

Despite the size of the hotel and the numerous functions going on while we were there we weren't disturbed or inconvenienced in the slightest which was a welcome relief.

The pool and sauna area is a great place to unwind and the gym is very well equipped. We didn't eat at the hotel apart from a bar snack due to having other plans but we enjoyed what we had.

Some TA reviews report staff not being particularly nice but we found them to be quite the opposite. With the exception of one member of staff who threw a sight hissy fit on being asked how long something would be as we had waited quite a long time to be served, they were all excellent - polite, affable and helpful, but then again we were nothing but pleasant and polite to them so maybe this could explain.

We stay in London several times a year and are glad we chose to stay at this hotel. We will certainly use it again and have no reason not to recommend it to anyone wanting a good quality hotel with good service.

Room Tip: Rooms looking out on to the street offer great views of the cathedral

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights over the cup final weekend and have to say it was absolutely perfect, only got there late on Friday so no queues for reception. The staff were all nice polite and helpful. Ordered room service which was lovely.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated a short walk to Tate Modern and directy opposite St Pauls which leads to some Gorgeous views if you get a high floored even numbered room.

The gym and spa facilities are just what you need to either get going in a morning or unwind later on.

The bed itself was large and comfy, whilst the room was very large for a London Hotel. The Bathroom was great with a wonderful shower.

Overall a wonderful hotel and would definitely stay again when in London.
