Owner description: The UK's largest and most popular casino. No membership, walk in freely, open 24/7, 6 bars, Pokerstars cash poker deck, award-winning Heliot Steak House, cabaret theatre, 2 smoking terraces & 3 floors of gambling. Great fun for gamblers and people just out for a good time. Shows all the best American sports, including all NFL games. International Vegas style regulations. The Hippodrome is one of the most widely recognised entertainment landmarks in the capital. Originally a variety theatre and home to the world-renowned Talk Of The Town, it is now the most famous casino and entertainment venue in the country and recently won Best Casino Operator in Europe 2015. A £50m renovation reinstated many of the theatre's original Edwardian architectural features, creating a unique venue that combines four floors of world class casino gaming with live theatre, an award winning steak house, six bars and a two tier smoking terrace. Since its opening in July 2012 the Hippodrome has attracted 5 million visitors, a combination of dedicated and casual gamers, theatregoers, business and tourist audiences and those keen to view one of the most spectacular venues in London. It is testament to the success of the Hippodrome that it was the venue pop superstar Prince chose to play his final UK gig in his 2014 tour.

We went here to go to the bar on the second level. It was my wifes birthday and she wanted a partricular cocktail. The venue is stunning and they have clearly spent a lot of money on it.
Gambling isnt our thing but you observe from upstairs other people spending there bill money.
Back to the cocktails, the barman was clearly pasionate about his job the drinks were out of this world absolutly stunning the thing is these things are not cheap but if you want top quality and these are, you got to pay

“Nice place but bit Cheesy!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

As you walk in it all looks grand and impressive.
But after few minutes you understand that it is full with clubbers and people drinking a lot.
However bar on the top floor next to smoking room(which is very nice) is superb and staff provide outstanding service.

i like the reviews as useful feedback, but i am struggling to know how to respond to your review. You obviously have the right casino as your comments on the third floor smoking terrace and bar are spot on, it is awesome, but i do not understand the rest, we don't have clobbers or people over drinking, do come again and check! We are a casino and have the business gaming areas in the country

“A Little Touch of vegas!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

We came here on Saturday night. My wife found a special offer - A cocktail, 3 course meal in Heliot Restaurant, and a £5 gaming chip, for £25 each. We went o the restaurant first and had a table with a great view over the gaming floor. We started with a Bellini each. The set menu had good a selection so we both started with Mussels, then I had a lovely steak and my wife had the chicken. My only moan would be that if you want any veg it's extra. We both ended with a deconstructed lemon cheesecake that was awesome. Good quality and good value for the West End. The service was friendly and efficient throughout. After this we explored the casino. It's on 4 floors. The ground had the gaming floor. Not huge, but a good selection of tables, slots, and computer games. The 1st floor is the restaurant, bar, and cocktail bar (with a great Mai Tai). The 3rd seems to be the show lounge, and the top was a poker lounge. There is also an outside roof area for smokers and hubbly bubbly pipes. The place was busy with a lively atmosphere. It really transport us back to Vegas. Will certainly go again.

“A Great Venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. This time was to see the Soho Burlesque Show. Great entertainment.
We did the pre-show menu served at our table in the Matcham Room, and the food was really good. Service was also very good. Well worth a visit when in London.

“Love it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

I love this place - it's open 24/7! The staff are generally quite friendly and smiley. But on the 6th April 2013, one of the managers on duty called Ray was quite rude. Either way, I'm definitely gonna keep going - a fab way to end a night out in central London!
