“An Iconic Place”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

The heritage of times gone by are very strong in the park. The site of the former Crystal Palace building is imposing and imparts a strong sense of lost past glory, it makes you wonder how and why a glass and iron building managed to catch fire and burn down. And why it was never re-built. It would have been such a monument to the Victorian achievements and still a massive attraction today. The BBC transmitter mast is an integral part of the experience and standing very close to the base the scale and height is overwhelming
Visit the maze and dinosaurs whilst you are in the park
Well worth a trip

“Great Free Family day out!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

I grew up here and the park is a beautiful green space less than 30 minutes from central london. Playgrounds, mazes, a wee cafe to rest up, lake, boats and dinosaurs all in the same place! Kids love it, parents love it, take a picnic on a warm sunny day and you can spend the whole day there full of family fun all for free! Parking can be a bit touch and go but the main line train station is a 2 minute walk from the parks entrance. Crystal palace restaurants are great for family after a lazy day in the sunshine.

“Great family open space”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

This place came alive at the weekend, when the weather finally started to warm up and the sun came out! It was really good to see the park bustling with families and people of all ages really. There is plenty of space though, and it never feels like there are too many people here.

The landscaped performance stage area toward the back of the park is my favourite spot, with wide open lawns to stretch out on. The maze too is really great and will get much better come spring.
I would wholly recommend a trip here when the weather is nice.

“Brilliant family day out”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

There is so much to do and see in this area. Well worth the trip for kids to see the dinosaurs, find their way throughout the maze, visit a small farm and more - especially as it gets warmer. We traveled for an hour on public transport and did not mind at all. Well worth it!

“Day on the Swings”

This is a fairly large park with various attractions, a nice tea room, an enclossed childrens play area, lake with fake dinosaurs, childrens Zoo, Minature race course for model cars (spectators only unless a member), Museum and of course the remains of Paxmans Crystal Palace.
