“good choice”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

We have just viisted Hilton Canary Wharf and what a lovely Hotel this is ,the staff are charming and efficient and the girl at the Breakfast reception (I did not get her name ) went to great lengths to make our Birthday Breakfast a pleasure -we had ordered a champagne breakfast as it was a belated gift for my husband she brought him a birthday surprise of little pancakes and greetings wrote in chocolate nice touch. The breakfast was buffet style and it consisted of so much varied foods it would suit anyones taste and once again the staff were at hand to assist and very pleasant. The room was very modern with flat screen TV and quite spacious plenty of surface to work on WI FI or other electronic equipment -mini -bar small occasional table and a large chair
and a huge wardrobe with iron and board and plenty of storage ,the bathroom was once again very modern clean towels each day and lots of space for personal items.

I will definitely book the Hilton again and when we found the short cut to the tube station it even better

what an unforgetable stay!
immediate upgrade on arrive to a huge executive suite! this seems to be a common occurance. we didnt actually sample the food or drinks. the hotel is lovely and clean, very helpful staff, large spacious rooms with tea, coffe and biscuits and a very large bathroom! the hotel has beautiful views and is ontop pretty much of all the transport (£7 for a daily travel pass on the underground) we didnt stay in the hotel car park as its quite expensive but stayed in the NCP 5 minutes away. the car was there 4 days and was absolutely fine.

Stayed for one night for England v Belgium on June 2nd which also happened to be Jubilee weekend. This was my first visit to a Hilton Hotel. On arrival we were upgraded at no extra cost as they had overbooked the type of room we had booked. The room itself was of the excellent standards I expected of the Hilton, big comfy bed, big HD t.v, excellent facilities and cleanliness.

The tube station is a 5 minute walk away in the shopping centre close by were you can catch the jubilee line into central London for all the sights, it also takes you direct to Wembley Stadium in about 25 minutes.

Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore London and catch a game at Wembley

This hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a hotel in the Canary Wharf area. It is well connected with both the London City Airport and the Centre of the City by the nearby DHL and Jubilee metro line stops. Everything in the hotel is very new and pleasant. My room was very big for London standards. It's a big hotel and was quite busy during my stay, however, everything (check-in, breakfast...) went smoothly and was efficiently managed.
Breakfast is very good and varied, worth the GBP 16 it costs. However, charging more than GBP 5 for a bottle of water in the room is something I found quite exaggerated.

Don't discount this hotel for the weekend, the jubilee line will have you in waterloo in 15 minutes and the deals are good. Larger rooms than you'll get in the city and a staff that couldn't be more helpful. Look for the weekend deals and luxuriate!!

Given the incredible cost of hotels in central London, it is well worth your while to consider this property despite it not being centrally located. The Hilton Canary Wharf maintains the same high standards of all Hilton properties, but at far better value than its sister locations in London. We flew in to London City Airport and it was a quick 10 minute cab ride to the hotel; we were very quickly and politely checked in and were on our way into the central city within minutes of dropping our bags off. The Canary Wharf tube stop is, as many reviewers have noted, just a few minutes' walk away, and you can even get there via the underground mall if it is raining. Never having visited Canary Wharf before, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of restaurants and stores located here--I was able to visit all my favorite shops without having to battle the crowds in their central London locations.

Having stayed in a number of Hiltons globally over the past year, I knew that the wifi charges were exceptionally high so we made a point to bring our iPads/laptops down to the lobby area where they do have passcodes for free hourly wifi access. I gave the property 4 stars instead of 5 because of all the extra costs involved (breakfast, wifi, etc.), as well as the somewhat odd decor of the rooms--lots of fake snakeskin--and I was also disappointed that the normal Le Source toiletries were replaced by Peter Roth ones...perhaps since this Hilton is near the commercial center of the city it is catering towards the male business traveller?

All this being said, it was the staff who made our stay exceptional. The concierges were all extremely helpful and the front desk staff were always very cheerful and would go out of their way to ensure our needs were met--when we asked for a blanket to be sent up, it arrived literally two minutes later.

The exceptional value of this hotel, plus the congeniality of the staff, allows me to recommend this hotel very highly, and I will pass on my recommendations to friends planning on travelling to London for holidays in the future.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel for a business trip. I stayed there several years ago and it was good but now you can really see that they have made a lot of improvements. The rooms, as always were great, with very comfortable beds and they were very quiet. I very much appreciated that they have installed new faucets in the bath/shower, as the other ones were beautiful but very hard to operate, on my last stay I had to call housekeeping every time I wanted to take a shower to help me turn it on. Now they have been replaced with new, easier faucets with a diagram, I know it sounds like a silly thing, but it was really great that they had listened to guests and replaced this irritating feature. The breakfast is wonderful and this has been upgraded too over the years. The service is wonderful, every staff member was kind, pleasant and accommodating. The rates were a bit higher than I remembered but that could be because of the upcoming Olympics in London, even the in house movies were super expensive (11 GPB a piece) and 5GBP for bottled water. All in all though, especially for the business traveller, this is an excellent hotel.
