The Apex City of London is a welcome respite from sky high prices at so so properties in London. The Apex is very convienently located next to the Tower Hill tube station, and is a very short walk, even with baggage. The hotel is clean, modern, sleek, and fun. The lobby bar is classy (and the complimentary wine and snacks for guests is great), and the rooms are surprisingly large for a city hotel. The Apex is practically across the street from the Tower of London and the London Bridge, and a short walk to St. Paul's Cathedral. Public transit is just outside and the way to go. The staff was friendly and on point, and the ammenities are huge portions and yummy. They even leave you a rubber duckie in your room! The only downside was no internet access for guests without a fee. The property offers deals if you book directly through their website, and they have a sister property in Edinburgh. I've travelled to London many times, and have never had such a pleasant, non-bank breaking, hotel experience. I highly reccommend the Apex.

I have just returned from 3 nights at this hotel.
It is lovely, everything very clean. Quiet, especially for a central London Hotel. Close to the Tower Hill tube and DLR stop. Not far to walk after a busy day.
Only negative, not near to any shops really and the windows do not open. The decor is very modern and new and the bathroom is on the big size with a bath and shower, also in good condition and no mould to be seen.
I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay again.
Breakfast is what you would expect with plenty of fresh fruit.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Can't really say anything negative to say about this nice hotel.

Stayed here for a 2 night weekend break on 14th - 16th September paying £190 including breakfast which given the quality of the hotel we felt was a fair price. We were upgraded on arrival to a deluxe room - accommodation has been well described elsewhere - which was a bonus. I would agree, however, that a small set of drawers within the wardrobe space would be good. Also - why is there never a socket within reach of the mirror so you can see when drying your hair!! Location was ideal particularly if you plan to return before the tube closes for the night. Staff were friendly and helpful, particular mention to the concierge staff. The accommodation was spotless and breakfast so pleasant that we spent well over an hour each morning just enjoying the relaxation. I have stayed in the Apex in Dundee before which I would say has a slight edge - in particular this hotel doesn't really have any views as such. All in all having stayed in several hotels in London during the past few years I would have no hesitation in recommending the Apex and would definately return. I am a fan of the South Bank area and it is a lovely walk from the hotel across Tower Bridge and up to the London Eye.

What a fantastic hotel. Well appointed and functional clean rooms. They got it right even down to the quality of the soaps and shower gel etc. Reception staff were warm and friendly to. This can make all the difference to your experience, and it did. Location to the tube, Tower Hill, was perfect.

Can’t wait to stay again.

Everything about our stay at this hotel was excellent. Reception staff very friendly and responded to all requests quickly. Room was spotless with lovely full size toiletries and own Apex rubber duck! Internet access was free in room. There was a DVD player in room with a long list of DVD's that could be hired free of charge. Location of hotel was ideal for us for visiting Tower of London and pier for Thames cruise ships is five minutes walk away. Hotel is ideal for break to London as in quiet area and very near to Tower Hill underground station. We took our car to London and there is a car park very near to hotel (very pricey but safe as security patrol all the time). Will definitely go back to this hotel again.

This hotel was excellent for a number of reasons; location, staff and rooms. The rooms were fantastic with DVD in the room and a free DVD library to choose from. Separate bath and walk in shower added to the comfort and your complimentary duck in the bath was an added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel as although it is in a quiet location it is a tube ride from central London if you want a bit of excitement

Excellent hotel and great value. 2 mins away from the Tower of London and tube station, nice pubs and few restaurants nearby plus based in a quiet area of the main streets. A lot of business regulars mid week which is always a good sign but still very welcoming for those, like me, only visiting. I will certainly be staying again next time i need to visit London.
