“Truly amazing!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We stayed at Apex for 1 night and it was just Perfect!
The room we had was a deluxe room on the 7th floor with a nice balcony over viewing the tower bridge! We were lucky the weather was nice so we could enjoy our tasty breakfast in the sun looking over the Thames river. The room was spacy with a nice bose system, a sitting area with TV, and a huge comfy king size bed! In the bathroom we had a bath tub and a separate shower , the Elemis products was a nice touch!
We had dinner in the restaurant and I would definitely recommend it! The food was really tasty! The location is great, just a 3 min walk to Tower Hill station and just 10 min on the underground to Oxford street.
I will not forget to mention the wonderful staff! They are all so helpful and friendly, always salute you with a smile!!
No doubt that we will absolutely be back!
Thank you Apex for an truly amazing experience!! .

First class service from friendly, helpful staff in reception, at the bar and in the restaurant. Rooms are well appointed, beautifully clean and beds very comfortable. Ideal location for sight seeing as it is so near the Tower of London and 2 minutes walk from the nearest tube station.

The weekend deals which include bed, breakfast and dinner are excellent value for money.

Arriving early presented no problems as we could leave our luggage before being able to access the room and the following morning luggage was left in reception after we had checked out so we could enjoy the day in London

Room Tip: Give the hotel your requirements when booking and they will do their best to accommodate you

Not much to say other than we loved this hotel. During our England vacation we stayed in 5 different places and we felt like Apex City of London had the best value. Very clean, modern, stylish room with plenty of space and very nice bathroom. Because the hotel is located in a business district it is primarily occupied during weekdays and therefore they offer an excellent weekend rate. 2 minute walk from the subway/metro/tube/underground whatever you want to call it. Very short walk to Tower of London and many other things to see. We were also happy with the level of service from the staff members, though we didn't really require much assistance with anything other than the use of a printer to print some tickets!

We were concerned that because it was the business district that restaurants and shops nearby would be closed on weekends but we didn't encounter any issues with this. We also stayed at nearby Club Quarters Gracechurch and while that was a decent hotel, we found the Apex to be a better value as it was less expensive and the room was much more modern and up to date.

Got a room only deal for £130 on booking.com reduced from £430

Location = 3-5 mins walk to Tower of London and Underground stations.

Food = didn't use restaurant due to there being tons of eateries of all types and quality within 0.5 miles

Room 134 = Lovely quiet room with huge bed / Free wifi (speedy) / Nice bathrooms with good quality toiletries

Staff = Very friendly and are happy to take your luggage early and retain it on your check out day. However, don't expect an early check in as it wont happen

Room Tip: Ask for 134 - it overlooks an old gothic church - also has a bath and shower

Quite close to underground- easy walk with small cases. Tower Bridge and Tower of London close by. Financial sector busy pubs and restaurants mainly close down on Sat and Sun which is strange and a bit of a concern at first! Wagamama and then the Dickens Inn at the docks filled this gap for us. Breakfast excellent especially the yoghurt with fruit compote. Building renovations in front of hotel stop early evening but worth requesting a 'quiet room'. Lots of hot water for the big bath tub and great showers.

From the website it was unclear to me how to arrange an extra bed for a child. I rang them to ask. The person I spoke to was very helpful. When we arrived everything was available as agreed. They took extra measures to make sure our child was happy.

I would highly recommend this hotel to other people. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the whole hotel was run so efficiently. The hotel was located 3 minutes walk from the tower of london and there were many cafes around too.The area was safe and the hotel was just 3 minutes walk away from the underground train station making the city centre and various tourist attractions very accesible. The HMS belfast ship and tower bridge were also less then 10 minutes walk away which were definetly must see attractions. The hotel room was lovely and clean and complimentary water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were supplied every morning which was a lovely touch. The hotel rooms also had a safe, large professional hairdryer, unlike the normal small white ones, and a shoe cleaning and sewing set.We had the continental breakfast in the mornings which was also excellent.
