Stayed here for one night in November 2012, in a standard room. My friend (an Apex employee) and myself were sharing a room and had requested a twin. After checking in we found our room was set up as a double and were assured this would be fixed after we got back from our plans in the afternoon. However when we got back nothing had been done. The receptionist was very apologetic though and offered us a free dink in the bar while we waited for the room to be changed. We were happy enough with that but perhaps not everyone would be so. Apart from that our stay was great. Breakfast was especially good. Location was ideal for us as we were using the boat bus to attend the tennis at The O2 arena and the hotel is minutes away from the dock we needed. Overall a pleasant stay and we are due to visit again in July.

Nice hotel in good location - little to find fault with really.
Breakfast expensive - eg we had continental breakfast booked - but if we wanted porridge it was an extra £5 each.
Good friendly staff made us feel very comfortable.Would use the hotel again.

Overall the Hotel was very nice, just a couple of little points let it down, We had a free upgrade to a "Deluxe" room, which boast as one of it's main features surround sound home cinema system, sadly the Bose system in the room wasn't compatible with the TV.....They must be aware of this and should get it sorted or take the system out. Having stayed Friday evening we were out and about early Saturday, we returned to the room at about 2-30pm to have a short rest and get ready for the evening, only to find that the room had not been cleaned, this was put right as soon as I informed reception and we had to sit down stairs in the lobby for half an hour, if they hadn't done the room by half two, when were they going to do it ?

This is a very nice hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. We liked When our DVD player did not work, the workers did their best to fix the problem, and when they could not we were upgraded to a new room. Very clean and well kept hotel.

I stayed here last weekend as I was visiting London with 7 friends. It is very close to Liverpool Street Station (approx £5 in black cab). It has the Tower of London and Tower Bridge literally a few minutes walk away. Although its close to a main tourist attraction it feels very secluded as its tucked away down a small street. I don't think we would of found it easily if we had been on foot.

The hotel itself is lovely, very clean, smart and stylish. The room me and my friend shared was quite small compared to our other friends room, however this is something that is quite normal for a city hotel and didn't impact on our stay. Both me and my friend commented on the very reasonable prices charged for food (room service). I also called main reception at 1am to request another duvet, which they delivered promptly without question.

I found the staff to be friendly and polite. There are only a few negatives (nothing major), I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the rooms didn't feel well lit, even when all the lights were on, there didn't appear to be an extractor fan in the windowless bathroom and on approach to the hotel there is a strong small of sewage (not the hotel's fault)

All in all this is a lovely hotel which was well worth the £109 we paid per room, especially as each room came with a complimentary bottle of prosecco. I would not hesitate to stay with them again in the future.

Centrally located in the heart of City of London. Stayed 3 nights for business and the location is perfect for me. Slightly pricey though.

Fuss free check-in and reasonable sized room. The room was thankfully warm and cosy for the cold winter weather.

Overall, I would recommend Apex City of London, especially to business travelers.

Stayed for one night whilst working in London. Good hotel with attentive and helpful staff. Room was great and tastefully decorated. View from my room was of a building site but there was no noise and certainly didn't impact on my stay.
