“Excellent and modern design hotel in London!”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

3 days in London for New Year Eve, 2 of us, in a big room on the 7th floor was just lovely and pleasant. This hotel is very conveniently located at 3min walking distance from Tower Hill tube station. It is a modern, beautiful and stylish design hotel.
Early check in at 11.00 am was possible with an upgraded room but not on a high floor, so we waited a bit and 1 hour later we were given free of charge a superior room on the last floor. Lovely view on the Thames and the monuments like Tower Bridge from a small private terrace. Spotless bathroom with bathtube and shower. But the most important to highlight is the great attention and care received from the reception staff who were friendly, helpful, courteous and smiling. We want to thank in particular Fabian, Pei Wei and Stefano. They help us booking our dinner and NYE party. They searched information about exhibitions at the National gallery. They took time to discuss with us and always find a solution to any little problems or queries we could experience. They have made our stay in London be extraordinarily pleasant!
For all these reasons, I would recommend you to book this hotel for your next trip to London, it is an excellent 1st choice for 2012!

Room Tip: Higher floors have a nicer view, above the building roofs. The best to ensure a nice room is to writ...

Stayed here for New Year with my partner and paid for an upgrade to a deluxe room, which was on the 6th floor. The hotel is literally less than a 5 minute stroll from Tower Hill tube station and next to the Tower of London.

Wonderful spacious room for London, queen sized bed which was so lovely it was a heartache to leave in the morning. Sofa to enjoy breakfast with, as we had breakfast included in our room rate which we chose to have delivered to the room for no extra charge at a time that suited us - which was always on time.
Bathroom was lovely, seperate powerful shower with nice Elemis products to use.

Check-in was a breeze and we had no problems during our stay, the staff were excellent and provided a great service.

Out of the hotel and turn right within a 3 minute walk was an All Bar One, Pizza Express, Zizzi etc...handy for a quick eat.

This hotel was a great place to stay for new year 2011 also
Great location right next to the tower of London. Also a great & very cheap carpark just over the road & only 7:50 for two days parking bargain. ( tower hill carpark)

The hotel is hidden in Seething lane, a quiet street but it is just minutes away from Tower Hill tube station and the Tower of London. It looks quite common from the outside, but from the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by a man who referred me to his colleague for check-in. The process was quick and the person who did it was extremely nice.
I booked a deluxe room as an end of the year treat for myself, and did not expect a lot given that I have been disappointed in the past by other hotels. However, this time, I was agreeably surprised. The room was spacious, spotless clean, with attention to details. The bed was comfortable, I spent a delightful night and just did not want to get out of bed in the morning. The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower, both are spacious and would easily fit two people. As promised there were some bathrobes, slippers, Elemis toiletries(Shampoo,Conditioner, Eye awake recovery gel, cooling mint mist, soap and shower gel).
TV is quite big, BOSE audio system was working perfectly, great audio throughout the room. Magazines were available as well, and the iPod dock too.
I really enjoyed my short stay and would definitely recommend and go back there if I need to stay in the city.

Room Tip: Spoil yourself and get a deluxe room on the 6th floor or even the 7th one as I believe there is a be...

I booked the Apex City of London on a deal as a pre Christmas trip for my wife and I - one night only as a belated anniversary trip!
I was impressed from the start by the friendliness and courteousness of the staff who were both informative and attentive. Our room was excellent with a nice view over Seething Lane Park, excellent in-room facilities (tea, coffee, magazines and so on) - even the T.V. piped through to the bathroom! The bed was sumptuous and very relaxing - so many pillows!!!!
We dined in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent - in-house burger for me and seafood pasta for my wife were both brilliant (not a hint of microwaving!). Breakfast was also excellent with any hot food cooked to order - not under hot plates - and an excellent variety of all other international breakfast foods on offer (cold meats, fruits, yoghurts and so on). My only slight concern was the waiter/restaurant manager being a touch too enthusiastic at dinner, clanging our table water bottle onto our glasses a couple of times! This is splitting the minutest of hairs thought.
The hotel is outside the main sights but is right on the doorstep of the City (eerily quiet on a Sunday!!) but you can get to most places in London by the very nearby tube station; mainline train services were a short walk also.
All in all, an excellent hotel and would stay again!

Room Tip: Take home the free rubber duck in your bathroon for the kids! Also a free newspaper for you by the l...

This hotel is the perfect location for a city trip to London. Rooms are spacious, well equipped with everything you need. The staff is helfpfull and correct. At a 5 mins walk you find the Tower Hill Underground station, where the Circle Line (central line through London) stops. A visit to The Tower of Londen and Tower Bridge can be easiliy done, they are in walking distance. The area of Tower Hill has been renovated in 2004 and because of that you can find there all kinds of little restaurants, for a quick bit to eat. I don't recommend the breakfast at the hotel. It is really expensive and there are lots of possibilities for a good (continental) breakfast in the area.

This hotel was a pleasant suprise. I booked over the internet and rooms were reasonably priced so i wasnt expecting too much given how expensive London can be! However, the rooms were huge, well appointed and spotlessly clean. In fact the whole hotel was spacious and modern and the staff were efficent, knowledgable and helpful. I also ate in both the restuarant and ordered room service and both times the food was reasonably priced and good. the hotel is also well located close to a number of bus stops and tube stations and there are several supermarkets close by. The only thing is being in the financial district it can be pretty quite on the weekends....but with so much public transport close at hand it is easy to go somewhere else.
The only down side of the whole stay would be that my room while spacious and lovely it was in the basement which meant no windows just a skylight and small street level windows....probably a factor of booking an internet special and not knowing to request an over street level room....wasnt really an issue as the room still had plenty of light and I was between business trips so really just wanted to sleep or sight see...but a good thing to mention if you are thinking of staying

Room Tip: be sure to ask if your room is above street level...i.e. not in basement
